@MrsTal: I am sure you are just fine, but I know if I could get an u/s I would, it is hard to not worry, but your ok and all is ok!!!!! I know women who get u/s weekly due to high risk resasons so I doubt its bad!

To calm your mind go ahead, beacaue OB might not do one, mine did not!

  2. bhbee

@MrsTal: I would get it. You don't want to have a ton for no reason, but peace of mind is a big reason for those of us on this board. I also think if you tell the ob you had one less than a week before they might skip it and just look for the hb on Doppler or something.

@MrsTal: Congrats on graduating! It's exciting to start telling people. I'm on the same page as others--go ahead and get one with your RE, and your OB can skip one if necessary. Your RE will probably be sharing all your records with the OB.

@FaithFertility: @bhbee: @Happygal: I really do want to go but DH is pushing me to cancel. He wants me to start trusting my body is doing what it needs. Also he can't go so I think he doesn't want to miss seeing the baby. Plus I'm worried about the time off I would have to take to go. Ugh. I'll probably just cancel.

@MrsTal: I understand DH thoughts, it is hard to trust our bodies after the long road!

Whatever you do all will be well

Had an apointment this mornring nothing crazy quick stomach poke to check uterus size and then the best part listening to the heart beat! Looking great at 152 bpm :))

We find out gender 7/28 I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

  7. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@MrsTal: Ah, a DH factor! That is something to definitely consider. I understand why he wouldn't want to miss out, and I would want my husband there with me as well. Maybe cancelling will help nudge you into a more trusting space. I know it's hard! (I took a pregnancy test again at 10 weeks, and almost didn't tell our family last weekend b/c I wanted another appt. before we shared the news. I get it.)

@FaithFertility: woohoo on the gender scan!! that was the day I really let myself believe . . . we had an early appt and took the whole day off work, and after the appt we did all the shopping I hadn't let myself do before that (furniture, gear, a few clothes, you name it!)

I think mine will be 8/27 for a second I thought they were the same date!

  9. FaithFertility

@bhbee: I am hoping to get in on the 25th a Friday so we can do some sort of Gender Reveal with family over the weekend! They said they were all booked that day, but best believe I will be calling daily to see if there ad any cancellations.....lol

@FaithFertility: fun times! Do you have an idea of what you'll do?

Here's my exciting, I'm so happy, update-I stopped progesterone! Whoo hoo! I have an appointment on the 17th to hear the heartbeat.

@MrsTal: did you decide what to do? I hope you're feeling good about things.

@bhbee: I also saw you're giving away your pregnancy tests stash! I'm planning on doing that at some point when it feels right. I have some from @Mrs.Someone:. I did enjoy feeling like one of my IF friends got to be a part of our happy BFP day in some way.

  11. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@Happygal: Nah, nah, na na na na hay hay hay GOODBYE!!!!! BYE bye progestrone!!!!!

I love hearing that heartbeat, its amazing!!!! ♥

Ummm....I am not exactly sure how we will do it, I saw these confetti poppers either pink or blue, but on etsy they are kind of pricey... like $45 for 5???

I have been feeling good lately, but soo tired, sleep is not happening at night just toss and turn, thankfully it's summer
I am over thinking any movement I feel I think its baby at times, but not to sure
Can't wait until there is no doubt!!!!

We finally had the first ultrasound this morning -- it's twins! So excited, but was not expecting it at all as I have had barely any symptoms other than being tired. But we saw TWO babies and TWO heartbeats! Could not be more ecstatic

We still have 1-2 more appts with the RE and then it's OB time... something I've never bothered to think about in the past three years... guess it's about time I start researching!

@FaithFertility: Ahhh! I can't believe you are going to be finding out the gender so soon! Can't wait until you find out so we can know.

@bhbee: Your gender scan is soon too! Can't wait to know what you are having! I don't know when ours will be but it doesn't matter because we are having them write it down and we will be taking it on vacation with us in October! That's so far away!!!

@Happygal: That's such great news that you are done with progesterone! I decided to go ahead and cancel my appointment. I feel pretty good about it. I'm still a little worried about announcing this weekend but I think if anything happens we can count on DH mom to spread the word so we won't have to deal with it.

    @abdubbs: Congratualations! That is amazing!

Popping my head in to say hello! So many IF babies lately!!

So is there is list of EDDs to keep up with everyone? I don't know about you guys but it's like I hear of an annoucement and before I know it, the baby is here. 40 weeks seem to fly by from the sidelines. Hoping I could be your sideline cheerleader, too!!

@abdubbs: congrats! What great news! How are you feeling?

@bluestriped bee: here's to hoping you'll be out of the sidelines and right alongside us soon. We don't have a running list that I know of, but I guess we could/should get one going!

As of now, I'm due January 23.

Gosh I'm so hoping I can join you soon for LO #2&maybe3.

@abdubbs: Congratulations!! Twice as much fun! Isn't it funny how getting pregnant thing can take up so much energy that you forget to think about you need to do once you ARE pregnant?! I had to research an OB once I found out I was pregnant with LO #1, too.

@Happygal: So happy for you that you are done with progesterone! I'm just starting my PIO tonight.

@FaithFertility: Oh, it is the most wonderful thing to feel that little baby move for sure! You are going to love it!

@Happygal: I saw your post on the January board about being scared that you might not find the HB, it is soooo common this early for them to have to poke around,

Last time the MW seriously had to look for 2-5 mins but we could hear baby kicking around until she go a good listen by pressing on the one side of my uterus so baby couldn't basicly swim away....lol

But I understand having DH there, I make sure mine is too!!!

@MrsTal: Did you announce this weekend?

  27. MrsTal

    clementine / 901 posts

@FaithFertility: To DH extended family, yes! Funny story, when we got in Friday night we met up with the few people that were there and one of his uncles asked if I was pregnant! We gave him a look and said no. Then wore the family reunion shirts my SIL made (mine had a +1 on it) the next day. Everyone was thrilled! We are doing a Facebook announcement after our scan tomorrow!

@MrsTal: this made me smile. It's so amazing, isn't it? Glad it all went well! Did it help you feel a little less anxious?

  31. MrsTal

    clementine / 901 posts

@Happygal: It did! My OB told me that he thinks this is going to be an easy, complication free pregnancy and everything is going to go fine. I know he can't really know that but he did tell me to relax and just roll with it. How are you doing? You are almost in your second tri, right?

A question for all you ladies, did you have to have a pap at your first OB appointment? I did and it hurt so bad! I'm feeling a little crampy because of it and I hope that's normal.

  32. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@MrsTal: nice picture!! It's pretty standard to do the pap if you haven't had one in a while. Not fun while pregnant since everything is sensitive but light cramping is normal.

    @MrsTal: Beautiful ultrasound pic!

About the Pap, unless you hadn't had one in the last 3 years, or your last one was abnormal, you could have skipped it. I went into my first appointment ready to tell them, "no thanks", but the doc was already on board.

  38. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@TheReelDeal: I tried that, they said it had to be within the calendar year....as I had mine September of 2013 and had that apt May of 2014.......but all practices are different

  39. TheReelDeal

    kiwi / 742 posts

@FaithFertility: that's very interesting because those are the recommended guidelines by the CDC, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  40. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@TheReelDeal: I know....I love the practice but they are a little over kill on some things. .. like your anatomy scan at 20 weeks it can't be 19weeks 6days...I mean really? !?!?
