    @abdubbs: Oh my goodness! I can hardly imagine what that must be like! Congrats!!!

    @MrsTal: Beautiful pic!!!

    @bhbee: How are you doing?

    Congratulations to all of you ladies!!!

    Found out today my brother and SIL are having a baby around the same time as us. Surprise to them - she's 8 weeks along - they have been trying since 2008 but not seriously trying for the last couple years, just accepting it might not happen. She will be 38 when the baby is born and I think they thought their time might have passed. It is amazing how these things work!

    It's super crazy because I'm due 1/15 and her sister is due 1/17 so it will be baby central. I think my brother is just totally floored. They just put an offer on a house and he may lose his job but I told him it will all work out just fine by next year.

    And I thought my kids would never have cousins! Sorry for the random post, I need to talk to someone since the news is still a secret even from my mom!

    @bhbee: That's going to be amazing!!! Wishing her and your brother a H&H rest of the pregnancy!

    BTW: I'll be joining you all shortly...I'm 4weeks and 4days right now after a 5dt!

    ETA: Yes, totally speculation at this point. We will see...in about 2 weeks!

    @bhbee: Hoping for good things....

    How did you ladies managed to keep your sanity during those early weeks? Any suggestions for me?

  7. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

    @FliegepilzHut: I journal a lot. Helps to have somewhere to put my crazy.

    I also had little mantras for myself ... Especially after so many early losses I would just tell myself over and over "nothing I do is going to change the outcome now. All I can do is have hope and enjoy every day I have". Sounds dramatic when I type it but it helped for me.

    @bhbee: omg so excited for your bro and sil. It was about five years for us to have our take home babies, so I know how it feels to wait so long!

    @FliegepilzHut: honestly, after taking so long to have a baby and having a miscarriage, I just kept my distance and didn't really get attached until like after the kids were born lol.

    @bhbee: I like that...except that then I start second-guessing "normal" things that I'm doing...cuz I'm kind of a nut! But I'm going to try to remember that and make it my own.

    @tequiero21: I don't know how similar our stories are...but I understand how that must feel.

    @FaithFertility: I'm glad it's getting better! I think I will feel better the further along I am. There are no guarantees in this life, but we can have faith.

    Ok...I have another question for you all: when (and especially if you had a prior m/c) did you feel comfortable "graduating" to the Due Date Twin Threads on HB?

  14. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

    @FliegepilzHut: I don't remember exactly, but it was either after the point of my 2nd loss (5.5w), or after my first ultrasound (7w). I was torn between being cautious, and forcing myself to believe in this pregnancy. For my first 2 pregnancies, I joined one right away, and the 2nd I didn't join at all.

    @FliegepilzHut: ummmm I think I was about 8 weeks, but ib think it is only up to you and how you feel!

    How are you feeling? Any news on twins?

    @FliegepilzHut: Ok, we've been moving and things have been crazy, so I can't remember if I've properly congratulated you. If not, congrats!!!

    I've shared before, but I had this moment during a workout class where I decided to try to enjoy this pregnancy as much as I can. Joining the DDC was one way of doing that, and it has been fun!

    Hi, everyone! I have been eager to join this thread ever since it first began, and now I can finally say that I am PREGNANT!

    A little bit about my journey: TTC for a year before finding out I had PCOS, three failed IUIs, then a year break because of new jobs with sucky insurance, then IVF and BFP with first cycle for a total of 2.5 years TTC! My first beta is tomorrow, but because I hadn't felt any symptoms and was pretty sure it was gonna be negative, I took a test this morning so I could deal with the BFN at home with DH. But lo and behold, it was positive!

    Funny story: It had been so long since I've tested that I thought I had a FRER and was looking for pink lines, except I was using an old EPT with the blue cross. When DH and I uncovered the window, I was like, "WHAT? What is this???" I didn't have the manual on me, so we had to look up the test online to figure out if it was positive or negative! So anti-climactic! Hahaha.

    Already in the past few hours of continuing in mundane tasks of daily life, I've *forgotten* and had to remind myself, "I'm pregnant." I'm sure you all can relate! I was pretty active on the IF update boards last year, and it's so great to see so many of you on here! Hoping for a sticky baby and to share in all of your ups and downs! (hopefully more ups!)

    @ineebee: I get a little confused with dating, but that sounds good to me! When will they do your first ultrasound? Do you have thoughts about whether it might be twins or not? So many questions!!!!

    Shared with my DDC and will share here as well. This is our little baby's mug shot from out NT scan last week. I've been calling the baby "she," but am expecting it to be a boy just b/c all my sisters have boys. They also did the 3D one, but it was a little freaky looking at this point. The print outs are actually better quality, and I look at them every day.

    @FaithFertility: how did the reveal go with your family? Tell us what you're having!!! Oh wait, is it tomorrow? The suspense is killing me.

  34. ineebee

    pear / 1580 posts

    @Happygal: I haven't even gotten the first beta done yet, so I have no idea when everything is going to happen! I only transferred 1 embryo, so it's probably not going to be twins. I'll be sure to update once I find out more information!

    And that ultrasound looks beauuuutiful!!

    @Happygal: your baby is a doll!!!!!! Cute button nose, like ours!!!!
    The reveal is tomorrow!!!!! I'm dying! I think girl DH thinks boy :))) but I truly don't care!!!!! We got the call from Dr. That scan was great! That is all I wanted to hear!

    @FaithFertility: it's so funny--we've been fawning over the pictures and think she's cute, too. We totally realized we can easily be "those parents." My husband think the baby's brain looks great, and he's only half-kidding.

    @Mrs.Someone: thanks! I was thinking of you this morning and how you're in that home stretch. How are you feeling?

    @Happygal: I'll join you in that club.....us too!!!! lol I told DH when the Dr. Called that all was well and that he said the baby is the most beautiful he has ever seen...totally kidding on that, but DH ate it up..........yeah we should start a crazy mom's club...
