Share your pumping routine with me please!
I feel like things would go a lot quicker if I wore a strapless bra everyday. That way I could just whip it off, put on my hands free pump bra, and get to work. Having to take my shirt entirely off so I can remove my regular bra is a pain in the ass.

I never used a hands free bra at work because there wasn't a need. I could hold both sides with my arm and hand and still hand my other hand free to play on my phone.

@Highwire: I just untuck my blouse/shirt and pull it up over my boobs, and then unclasp my bra (and sort of fold in under to get it out of the way) so that I can put on a hands-free pumping bra. I find that easier than actually getting undressed/taking shirts off . . . and it's much faster too. (I hope that makes sense.)

@Thehistoryofus: that's exactly what I do! I can't work and pump at the same time because I'm a dentist.... That'd be awkward!!
Also, you could wear a nursing bra, unsnap it and put your pumping bra over top. I tried that a few times, it worked but I just hate putting that thing on.

I plan to wear nursing bras/tanks and just snap it open then wrap the hands free bra over that.

i just did it! wore a tee underneath a blouse and just pulled up! i did wear a nursing bra today, but it hink i could do the routine with a reg bra too~
i only did single pump (6 mins on each side tho)...

I don't take my top off. I wear a stretchy tank top and nursing bra underneath, pull up my top (or unbutton if it's a button down) unhook the nursing bra, and put the hands-free bra on and pump away.
ETA: I pump in the lactation room. (I'm the only one using it currently so I don't keep to a schedule). I bring 4 bottles to work with me every day, my first pump is about 9-10 ounces so I cap those bottles and store them in my cooler bag in the fridge. Wipe down the pump parts put them back in the ziploc bag and store them in the fridge as well.

I put my pump on my desk and get my pump pieces ready. I grab my pumping bra, push up my shirt, unclip my nursing bra clips and put on the pumping bra. Then I insert the flanges and plug in to the pump. To undo - Take off the bottles, take off bra, take off flanges. Pour milk from both bottles into one, put them both in the cooler and put my pump on the ground again.

I pump in my own office: I pull whatever shirt I'm wearing up, drop the cups of my nursing bra down, put the hands-free bra over-top of my nursing bra, insert the flanges and pump. My pump sits on my desk.

I pull my shirt and bra up, put on my hands free pumping bra, hook up, and go. I just bought parts for the pump at work, so I'll have all of my pieces there when I get them assembled tonight.

@mrsjazz: 9-10 oz! You are my pumping idol. My morning pump netted me a whopping 2 whole ounces lol. But that's average for me.

@highwire: Thanks! Of course I jinxed myself and only got 7 oz. this morning, but LO also woke up more last night. I only pump twice at work now since she's on solids.

@Highwire @MrsJazz @CascadeMom: Wow. I have pumped twice already today for a *total* of 7 ounces. I will try to squeeze in one more session (I am preparing to start day weaning at 6 months) this afternoon. I would be over the moon ecstactic if I pumped 7-9 ounces per session!
