Do you have a Macy’s near you? Or Nordstrom? I’ve always gotten measured by the ancient and lovely women at Macy’s and they have always given great recommendations and selection. I love Calvin Klein bras myself, but I’m an A cup so can’t speak to how they fit/support for larger sizes.

Do you have a Dillards close by? I like the On Gossamer brand, but bra fit is so subjective. Tomorrow is Dillards 50% off clearance sale and it is a great day to shop for cheap bras. You'll mostly find weird colors but you can try out some good brands and see what you like for a cheap price and then splash out on basic colors. But I'll second that getting fitted is super important - I thought I was an A for years but turns out I was a D.

I love Natari and buy from Nordstrom Rack. Get sized at the regular store.

Natori Feathers. They're expensive but you can get them on sale from Nordstrom. It's the perfect bra: not too much padding but no nips, super supportive, incredibly flattering, and hold up. Also they come in all the weird sizes!

I had a great bra-fitting experience at Nordstrom so I’m sure it totally depends on who’s helping you. The saleswoman who helped me brought me colors that were flattering for my skin tone, tried to pull from the sales rack, and brought me other options at different price points. I was really pleased, and I ended up with a couple Natori bras (not the feathers style—she told me those usually only go on sale at the Anniversary sale) and a Betsey Johnson, I think. Most of what she brought in for me I probably wouldn’t have chosen off the rack myself so that was definitely a time when it was helpful to have an “expert”’s help.

Does anyone know if Nordstrom will take returns in bras purchases after a fitting and worn? I was fitted and thought they were good but one of the bras was super irritating after only a couple of hours.

A 34C/D here, and surprisingly, I’ve really liked my Gap Body bras recently. They have some lined Demis that are supportive without being too matronly, and it’s not a place I would have thought to look before.

When I was in the same situation (post nursing, teacher budget, etc), I just ordered 5-6 on Amazon Prime to determine sizing and style, used their free returns, and got about 5-6 more. This is what I kept, they're all $12-$30 except the last one:

Victoria Secret's semi annual sale, I'm embarrassed to say I haven't bought a new bra in over 5 years, so yesterday I bought 5, they were all 20-25 a piece. they will measure you in store, I bought Full Coverage Body of Victoria, I like them a lot. I'm a 36DDD, so I know about needing coverage, and these seem the best for me.

I'm a 34 DD/DDD (who knows what my saggy deflated post nursing two kids boobs are now, lol), and I realized when I was on a bra hunt once that I do not like demi bras; I like full coverage. So I liked all the Victoria Secret bras I got when they had deals/sales.
