This is typical for most pumping moms, I think-- you pump the most in the mornings (when you're most rested) and as the day goes on, your production goes down.

As for your LO nursing every hour, she could be reverse cycling (eating only the bare minimum during the day so she can nurse with you when you get back) or she might just miss you! Or she might be going thru a growth spurt... they tend to eat super often then.

I think this is pretty typical. The morning is the best session and then it goes down. I wish I got 10 oz!

Very typical! Try to relax at the end of the day, eat a snack and drink some water before you pump to also help!

I have heard that the milk becomes more nutrient dense as the day goes on, so you produce less later in the day than you do in the mornings.

I only pump 12oz total all day (3 sessions of about 4oz each) so I am jealous of your 10oz morning session. However, right now I'm able to keep up with DS so while I'm content I would love to pump more for my freezer.

@yellowbird: The same thing happened on Friday to me. I send four 5 oz bottles and they wrote that he drank three of them....but the fourth was empty? I forgot to ask about it.
