Does your reflux baby have worse symptoms at certain times of the day?
Also, is there any difference in symptoms between bottle feeding or breastfeeding for your baby?
I think dd has more reflux-y symptoms in the late afternoon/evening. I don't know what it is that we are doing differently at that time or prior to those feedings though. Dd is ebf, but does take breastmilk in a bottle too.

Do you give one dose of meds or two? Splitting it really helped the evening symptoms for us. And for us it was the worst 45 minutes or so after eating (as well as during).

She's not on meds right now. The pedi thinks it's just mild reflux since she's growing so well.

@iluvboba637: does she eat more volume at certain meals? Maybe limit to an average quantity?

Worse in evenings/MOTN and after first Feed in morning when I'm fuller. Bottle vs breast doesn't make a difference.

Definitely worse later in the day. Just because baby is growing well doesn't mean that they don't hurt. Milk can be soothing so many babies eat more. Try holding baby upright for 20mins after all feeds, that helped us a lot.

DD had reflux (and meds) and the evening was horrid. But for us it wasn't related, it was her witching hour and nothing really helped. Our Dr thought it had more to do with her colic. She just had to grow out of it.

@Mrs Green Grass: she usually nurses about the same amount of time each session or takes 2.5-3oz bottles.

@Mrs.Someone: is your baby on meds? We hold her upright but I think she reflexes in the middle of the feeding session and starts flailing her arms, breathing hard, sometimes it helps calm her down when I stop and hold her upright and burp her.

@iluvboba637: He was on meds (Omeprezole) from 2.5-13mo or so. It made a huge difference. Definitely burp or take a break when she starts having trouble.

@iluvboba637: not yet. We are attempting elimination diet first to see if that helps before trying meds. my pediatrician is very conservative when it comes to meds.

Yes, first thing in the morning is a terrible feed (I'm usually pretty empty then, too since she wakes us more and more as it comes time to get up for the day), and around 4pm is the worst time for major spitting.
