This is going to be our 3rd New Year's Eve spent together, but we've yet to count down and ring in the new year with a kiss! I'm determined to make it happen this year!!
How do/will you ring in the new year?

Last year, we threw a party with some friends. This year, I have no idea what we're doing. I haven't thought that far ahead. This will be our 7th New Year's together, 2nd as a married couple!

This will be our 4th NYE spent together but only our 3rd kiss...we were just starting to date for our first one & the dummy ( I say that with all the love & adoration in the world....) who is now my DH didn't kiss me even though we had kissed before that night! I still tease him about that. As far as plans go, I am not sure, probably a low key night with family. We got invited to a wedding but it's a trip & DH can't get the time off work. I do miss wearing sparkly dresses & heels though!

We kiss on other New Years, but it isn't at exactly midnight We normally are with family so we have to make sure we watch the clock (DH's family doesn't really watch any good New Years shows). This year I want to spend it with just DH and go to dinner and do something nice like that.

Well, last year I got married! Haha 
Our wedding was on NYE! So this one will be our first anniversary!

@sulli301: Thank you! DH always jokes that he will never have an excuse for forgetting our anniversary! We had booked a beach house for a week in Florida with DH's parents for a little vacation, and were just planning on going out to dinner, etc. but we found out a few weeks ago that DH's dad has cancer. We cancelled the trip because he has surgery soon, so we will probably just do something nice here!

@tana_bk: @chopsuey119: Thank you ladies! It was caught early, and they believe that the surgery should take care of it, as it doesn't appear to have spread.
Just reiterates the point to have a colonoscopy after 50!

We go to a family/neighborhood party. When it's almost midnight they pass out the champaigne in those plastic cups, everyone gathers around the tv, and we have a countdown. There's always all sorts of noisemakers and poppers for when it hits midnight. And since I'm not a fan of loud noise (gives me migraines) hubby and I will sneak off to another room
I don't know if we'll last until midnight there this year though with a baby.

we usually try to watch the countdown and then drink some champagne with strawberries (sometimes, chocolate covered strawberries).... last year, hubby had to wake me up cuz i fell asleep watching. this year, we'll probably do the same except with apple cider for me! and probably whipped cream instead of chocolate.
