So DD is super excited to have her birthday party this month. You might remember I posted a few months ago about a build a bear party and ultimately i was able to get the costco coupons so we booked it! We decided to invite 15 people so no matter what we will have a good turnout. If less people rsvp then we get to have more accessories etc.. DD has friends in our neighborhood as well as friends from her after school program and of course her kindegarten class, so we split the 15 invites between those 3 groups. So she is only inviting 6 from her kindergarten class. Her teacher told me that the school policy states to be able to give out invites at school DD will have to invite all 22 people in her class! So no one feels left out. I have never heard of a policy like that. Is this common. I feel bad because I sent the invites on her backpack and emailed the teacher thinking she could just put them in the cubby or folder of the invited kids so no one even realizes they are being left out.
I think this school policy is kind of tough if you want to have a party thats different from thr usual jumping/ bowling parties. Its easier to have more people with those types of parties.

ETA the teacher later added that she can give thr invites out before school or after school but not during. But not everyone is around at those timr
