Obviously, there's a lot more to this (as there is with any sleep post!!) but long story short, LO is 8.5m and probably going through the 8m sleep regressions as he just learned how to pull-to-stand and is on the cusp of real crawling. His night sleep is crap now, whereas it was decent before. In the past we've worked on sleep via graduated checks and that usually helped- after a couple nights, LO would start mostly STTN most nights. This time around, NO it is NOT working. LO is SCREAMING, pulling up on the edges of the crib, crying so hard he is gagging and it sounds like it's hard for him to breathe. ETA: When this happens (basically every time) I go in to comfort him.

Did any of your LOs do this? How did you handle it? Even with a Ferber or complete-CIO method, shouldn't I go in and calm him down? How much calming?

Last night it got so bad that after 30 minutes of attempted calming, I just gave in and nursed him .... basically every 2-3 hours all night
