    Ack at the airport about to fly out to Denver for a conference in Beaver Creek - went through security and realized as I was in the scanner that I should have opted for the pat down instead. I freaked out, moved, and then they snapped at me and made me get scanned again! ๐Ÿ˜ซ Tell me Iโ€™m not hosed! Iโ€™m just not in the pregnant ๐Ÿคฐ mindset yet ๐Ÿ˜” I feel so bad.

    @Kaohinani: thatโ€™s a great looking spike! ๐Ÿคž๐ŸŒˆ

    @yellowbeach: You should be fine. ๐Ÿ™‚ Don't stress. It is an embryo (at day 5 only at "Cavitation") and, even until about Day 18 or so (Mesodermal Spreding if I remember correctly) most genetic specialists and REs would agree that low radiation scanners at airports or at concert venues are absolutely fine. (I used to research and proctor for a geneticist/professor of genetics at NOLA right out of college so I have a fascination with genetics and human development. ๐Ÿ˜‰) Actually, in the last 10 years, most TSA scanners have been mandated to be safe for ALL pregnant women to use. You (and Embryonic Yellowbeach ๐Ÿ‘ถ) should be fine. ๐Ÿ’œ

    P.S. Also, thank you. I'm SO hoping the spike means something good and it isn't just a tease. ๐Ÿ˜‚

    @LAZB: and @skinnycow: popping in to say I'm also taking coq10 after 2 MCs in a row. Couldn't hurt, might help. How much are you taking daily? I'm taking 200mg because it seemed like a good middle number for a kind of unknown supplement but that's just me choosing based on what I saw online.

    Ok, so I have no idea what the heck is going on with my temps. I plummeted today, so maybe I didn't o like I thought and might be in the next day or so. Ugghhhh

    @yellowbeach: definitely ok, my doc says itโ€™s fine to always do the scanners when traveling.

    @Chuckles: I think 400mg? This is part of an email my re sent me:
    I honestly think of these things as more in the context of an IVF cycle, but (aside from paying for them), the risks are probably few. I have a little blurb I put together on supplements for fertility/IVF, which I'm pasting below:

    Coenzyme coQ10 (aka ubiquinone or ubiquinol) is one supplement we may add to the regimen. The dose is 400-600mg daily (depending on what dose you find it in a pill, Iโ€™d want the total daily dose to end up in that range, usually split into morning and evening doses). If you want to try it, you can see what dose you find it in the drugstore (pills are sold in a variety of different doses, which is why I gave you the range).

    Also, one company that I know is making this specifically for fertility patients is Theralogix; theirs is at http://www.theralogix.com/product-listing/products-a-to-z/sp/theralogix-neoq10/ My reason for preferring them is their drugs are all USA-made and voluntarily quality-control tested by a third party company in Ann Arbor. That mitigates some of my general concerns regarding supplements, which are not FDA-regulated, regarding quality and consistency. They formulate theirs a bit differently, so the dose with this one would be two pills daily. If you go that route, you can get a slight discount by using our provider code (177024). Please let me know if that doesnโ€™t work.

    DHEA is the second one thatโ€™s out there, and that one is typically 25mg three times a day.

    I will say again I think this is totally optional, but if you want to do it, please consider Theralogix or another pharmacy that is highly-rated, so you're at least getting a quality product!

    I am (and my husband too) taking one pill at night, because I just bought the coq10 at a pharmacy (the one she recommended is pricey and you sign up for auto shipments).

    @Sams Mom: What the what?!?!?! (As my DD says.) I'm so sorry, SM. (*shakes head*) I have NO CLUE what to make of that temp. Perhaps it it just an anomaly temp? Maybe fallback rise (to the extreme)? I wish I could be of more help. My only advice: Just keep POA(opk)S and BD-ing every other day "just-in-case." Sending a *hug* because I know how frustrating this must be.

    @Chuckles: I"m also taking 200mg. I started taking it last month so we'll see if it makes a difference! I don't necessarily think I have poor egg health but I figure it can't hurt anything.

  16. Chuckles

    persimmon / 1495 posts

    @LAZB: Thanks! That's helpful. If this month doesn't work for us, I'll up the dose to 400mg.

    @LAZB: @Chuckles: @skinnycow:
    While it is not specifically, CoQ10, I take DHEA, a Folic Acid supplement, and a prenatal supplement on top of my gazillion medications. I had tried a CoQ10 but it REALLY upset my stomach even when taken at night. I'm doing better on the DHEA (with fish oil). I have no clue if it is doing diddly squat for me.

    Here's what my chart looks like as of today.

    No symptoms currently - the only ones I've had so far were sore boobs 4-6 dpo and spotting 4 dpo. I also have a suspicion I'm more like 8-9 dpo but I'm going to trust FF for now.

    @QBbride: Aww that's so awesome it happened right after for you! Hoping we'll be able to catch this next one too.

    @Sams Mom: Seriously, I don't know how I will survive the TWW but this site is the first thing I check each morning and really truly helps when things drag on. BTW O-1 and O+1 is pretty dang good...

    @yellowbeach: Wow that's so exciting... congrats! Eek! I lurk on the IVF thread all the time and have learned so much there. It's amazing how far medicine and technology have come, and just imagined being that nervous parent transferring embryos from one facility to another for the procedure. All that precious cargo. What a journey...really hoping this month is it for you!!

  21. SupernovaJ

    persimmon / 1141 posts

    @Kaohinani: It is absolutely the month of crazy surges!! Just yesterday I was saying there was no sign of O, just a long four days of being "fertile" but no peak. Well yesterday evening I took some opks and they came out positive! Got the solid smiley too. We'll BD either way but CM wasn't very "egg white" so who knows if all conditions are ideal but that's my update for now.

    And oh no, lightening crotch is back? I get that sometimes during the middle of my cycle, but way worse when I'm in my third tri... like crazy intense shooting pains! And whoa I just saw your chart...! Lucky 7 (dpo) dip and then that spike..! All signs are looking real good.

    @paranundrum: Agreed... your temps look SO promising!

    @skinnycow: Another amazing chart!!

    I will post my chart once I can confirm O. Temp this morning is still within the pre-O average.

    I'm feeling lots of good vibes for this board!! Let's bring on the

  22. SupernovaJ

    persimmon / 1141 posts

    @Sams Mom: Hmm I wonder if that's a fluke... did you test just once? Sometimes if the temp seems off, I'll take it a couple of times to rule out human error (ie: me holding it incorrectly in my mouth, reading it incorrectly when I'm super sleepy). Have you had temps that low before in general, ~96.9?

  23. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

    @SupernovaJ: Beautiful LH lines there! ๐Ÿ‘
    Yeah, I think we are all recovering after "Wonky-cycle August." Everyone's OVs are a bit "whacked out" after last month. ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคฃ I'm hoping to see a plethora of BFPs this month as well. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜

  25. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

    @SupernovaJ: I took it twice because that was low for a medicated cycle for me. (when I'm not on meds, my thyroid gives me fairly low temps) The first was 96.92 & the second was 96.93

    Whew! I've been inactive for the last week due to being at the beach!! After last month and not catching the "baby bug" I needed some destressing. But I'm on day 3 of my fertile window so I'm guessing some BD is in order for tonight!! I'm cramping a little today and it almost feels like my period. I will say I have learned a lot about my body that I never knew (or didn't pay attention to) before all of this.

    @paranundrum: your chart looks amazing!! Gosh I donโ€™t know how youโ€™re holding off testing ๐Ÿคฃ I would have tested for sure but Iโ€™m a POAS addict. I have a good feeling!!!

    @Kaohinani: your chart looks amazing too! That temp spike! ๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™m really really really hoping this is it for you.

    @Sams Mom: that is WEIRD! I donโ€™t know what to make of it, sorry! Hopefully in a few days it will become more clear.

    @skinnycow: your chart looks fantastic! Yeah I bet you could +1 DPO than your chart is saying. I feel like you could have Oโ€™d on CD 15??

    @SupernovaJ: wow those are super positive! Get BDing!!! Good luck!

    @cstanton13: eek happy BDing!!!

    AFM: super cramps yesterday and overnight. I think Iโ€™m only like 1dpo so I have a long wait ahead!!

    I bought a big box of easy@home OPK and HPT from amazon. Iโ€™m bummed because I read on another site that the HPT sensitivity is 25 no way I can wait that long!! Should I order other ones too??

    PS @Kaohinani: or whoever updates the POAS next, could you please change my date to Sept 18? Might try to hold off longer but very doubtful that I Will!

  28. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

    Ok, Iโ€™m leaning towards wonky hormones not a truly positive opk. Last night (and yesterday morning) I had negative, although dark, opks. So if my test yesterday was actually positive it would have been a super short surge. This test is from this morning, I think positive again, although I forgot to check until about 15-20 minutes after I took the test, so could just be close and looked darker after drying.
    I just doubt my levels going up and down like this are a good sign?

    @skinnycow: Would it make life easier on you if I updated on the weekend or copy/pasted the POAS list when you couldn't? I teach only on Saturdays and occasionally a makeup day on Wednesday evenings. I train clients 3 days a week but they are staggered throughout my day ... so between being a mom (and wifey) and having some time to kill, I'm on here. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Being TTC, I've become a HB addict. ๐Ÿ˜‚

    My DH is a truly sweet and loving guy, unfortunately, his honesty surpasses his tact at times and he suffers from terrible "foot-in-mouth (up to thigh) syndrome." EXAMPLE (for your pleasure): He came home for lunch today and stepped behind me as I was putting the finishing touches on his meal. He hugs me ... then allows his hands to drop onto my lower stomach as we speak. I warn him that I've been pretty crampy so it is a bit uncomfortable. His response: "Is the tummy bloat bothering you as well? You feel a little puffy there and must be uncomfortable." ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ฑ SERIOUSLY?!?!? ๐Ÿ˜‚ I know he meant well but, seriously, some tact would have been nice!! Men, sometimes, eh?

    @yellowbeach: ๐Ÿ˜‚ I KNOW! Really!!! BTW, he knew his mistake immediately and I did not even have to say a word. I suspect when I turned to look at him, my eyes were [momentarily] shooting tiny darts ๐Ÿ˜ต . (Laughs*) He apologized and told me had he not felt my stomach, he would had never noticed. #lovinghusband #brownnosing ๐Ÿคฅ ๐Ÿคฃ

    @Kaohinani: lol I would have given my husband the most scathing look ever. your hubs is seriously the sweetest!! wine sounds good...

    for the ladies on this board, are ya'll camp "drink till it's pink" or camp "sober till it's over" generally? I can't decide if I'll resist all alcohol during the TWW. first pregnancy I played by all the rules and was pretty safe, even cut out caffeine (what the). second pregnancy I was much more relaxed though I can't recall if I drank at all during the TWW. I usually stick to just beer and wine in general though.

    Curious because I have some GNOs / MNOs coming up this weekend and next!
