So I've been pumping every 3 hours to feed D BC we couldn't latch to bf. Now we've got him to latch and I'm bfing him. Wondering if I should still pump. He's 11 days old and 6 ounces away from his birth weigh but gained 2 ounces within two days, so dr was happy.

Do you need to build a stash? I think as long as he's still gaining, you have no reason to stop pumping. Concern would arise if your supply couldn't keep up. The only real reason I see for stopping is your own sanity - pumping and feeding with a toddler sounds exhausting!

Does he seem full after he nurses or is he still fussy? If he seems satisfied I would not continue pumping! That sounds exhausting and could lead to oversupply since he's so young.

It depends on your future plans. Pumping this early could actually lead to oversupply (which is as big a problem as under supply and a pain to deal with). If you are going to EBF and not need to bottle feed I would stop.

Agree with others, only keep pumping if you're returning to work and want a freezer stash. Good job!

Congrats on getting little guy to latch!!! I never pumped much but I stay home so it's easy. Do it if you need the stash as others have said.
