Can kids get them really early? DS is 3.5 and got all 20 baby teeth a long time ago, but now he's acting like teeth are bothering him again. He told me they itch all the way in the back, and when I took a good look I thought I could see another molar waaay under the surface. Huh? I didn't even know they're supposed to get more molars at six till I started googling, but still, six is a long time away!

Yea that seems pretty early. My 4 year old has had X rays and those molars are way down low.

@Mamaof2: 12 year molars? Haha I think I remember growing those, only I thought my mouth hurt cause I had gum problems!
@T.H.O.U.: yeah, if I'm not imagining them, I think it'll be months before they actually break through. His baby molars took forever to come out even after we could see them!
Poor kid, I thought for a while that he's copying his baby sister, but now I think he's actually uncomfortable. Maybe I'll give him a carrot to chew on next time he complains
