What are the hot toys/gadgets for these ages this year? We'd like to spend no more than $50 on each kiddo, so it can be a few smaller things or 1 $50 item.
HB steered me right last year and told me about Shopkins for the girl--which she was thrilled about. And now she's a year older.

Does she have an American Girl doll? I would get some accessories from the Target line to go with that. The boy, I would do Nerf gun or Legos.

@Mamaof2: Seriously, all the boys I know have a ton and love them. One told me he wanted more bullets for Christmas. So I bought him a huge pack from amazon. Glad that they won't be all over my house!

@Mamaof2: @Smurfette: Minecraft or Nerf guns might be a good idea. The American doll girl idea--they are Canadian...not sure if that's a thing there? And I've never seen a Barbie in her house, but I might explore the Barbie idea. For minecraft stuff, am I looking for random gear like a minecraft t-shirt, or..?
