We do a mix of "fun" and "practical" - like small blind bags, Shopkins, a small doll, etc and then like a pair of Christmas socks, lip balm, little snacks, etc.

This year, H is getting a Paw Patrol DVD and some bath paint in her stocking, maybe a few nail polishes of her own. A is getting socks and maybe a new paci.

@avivoca: real nail polish or is there a kids version out there? DD would LOVE nailpolish!

I try to do a mix of practical, needed, and fun. This year it's looking like some flashcards, board books, bath toys, crayons, bubbles, and maybe some snacks? I tend to put too much in but I shop sales leading up to Christmas to keep the cost low.

@Mrs D: I do real nail polish. She only gets her toes painted and she doesn't try to chew on them anymore lol. I like to get her Zoya polish because it doesn't have the five really bad chemicals in it that they tell you to avoid.

@Mrs D: there is kids nail polish called piggy paint. I have never used it, but my friend has and it has special nail polish remover.

@avivoca: I've been just using my stuff and I keep an eye on her! I'll check out that brand though...
@Mrs. Goose: ooohh...cute! Just found it on Amazon...this is going to make a perfect little gift!

@Mrs D: I've never found it in store, I ordered it online. I do use my regular stuff on her sometimes, especially if she wants a certain color.

Mostly practical over here. We do a new toothbrush, hair clips, panties/ socks. Maybe a couple blind bags and a couple pieces of kids jewelry.

@MrsRoo: undies and socks were on my list already! Hair accessories are another good idea!

I do a mix of fun and practical and so do our moms. MIL always does candy & socks for everyone. She adds little toys for the kids and other character stuff. Last year LO got spongebob tissues and Spider-Man hand sanitizing wipes. I put a tshirt, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and some fun treats in LO's stocking at our house.

We like to keep the treats to something they can just have whenever Christmas Day and not like a fistful of candy that needs rationing. So a baggie of goldfish, one chocolate, one mini candy cane, one fruit leather, etc. Then socks and play jewelry and stickers and matchbox cars.

Maybe some hair stuff and a bath book. Need to think of more stuff.
Ooh, a baggies of goldfish is a good idea.

For stockings, I love adding practical items: wool socks, clementines, chocolate, hot cocoa mixes ... perfect for winter!

So far I have Paw Patrol racers, flash cards & a scentsy buddy. He'll also get underwear, thomas minis, books, toothpaste, floss and a few candies.
Trying no to buy too many things. But I've already started and try and pick things up on sale as I see them.
