Hellobee Boards

So far for DH's stocking this year I have:
chocolate covered espresso beans and andes mints
jerky in fun flavors
hot sauce
scratch tickets
welly bandages
$10 starbucks gift card
winter hat
key chain that is supposed to make keys more compact
fleece lined thermals

Last year his stocking had:
a dragon zipper pull
floss
hot sauce
magnetic bottle opener
nose hair trimmer
chocolate covered espresso beans
portable phone charger

This year I know he is hoping for a new coffee maker, ps5 headset, and a fleece jacket. I will probably get two of them and my mom will get the third. DD always picks out fun socks for him.

Adult stocking stuffers are so hard! For DH I have:
Cozy wool socks
A jar of blackberry lime curd
A Fellow carter mug
A UV touch screen cleaner wand

And that’s all at this point, but I’m trying to shop locally so I’m sure I’ll see more in time. I’d like to add some kind of puzzle and we always do oranges (because it’s traditional on my side, but don’t ask me why) and chocolate.

I haven't actually purchased anything but I always fill in some gaps on his tools/things that wear out....

@Mommy Finger: So this is a legit issue in our house! My MIL knits everyone these giant stockings. They are seriously between 2 and 3 feet long and wide enough that the coffee mug I got DH will fit in its box with room to spare. I don’t want to not use them because MIL made them and they’re cute and have our names on but they are HARD to fill.

We started doing stockings only and one family gift a few years ago, as a fun challenge and because the kids were getting drowned in gifts from the inlaws. Often DH gets a bag with the goodies that don't fit in his stocking, mostly food. This year I am doing:
Bombas socks
Beef jerky
Cheese
Crackers.

His birthday is in November and I had a sentimental canvas from his grandfather professionally framed for his birthday, so that's his big gift for the whole year. But my other idea was a neoprene mat for his favorite board game.

This is an interesting thread! Stockings in my house are mostly just for decoration. We put maybe 1 to 2 small gifts in them. Last year I got DH a pair of bombas socks and that was the only thing in his stocking. We usually wrap most gifts and put them under the tree.

My parents have always been big into completely filling stockings though and they still do that. They give us things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, hand sanitizer, candy, etc. in our stockings.

My in-laws just put a few scratch offs for everyone in their stockings.

Last year, I got DH some fancy olive oil from our local farmer's market so he could dip bread in it. I have also gotten him book marks decorated with some of his favorite things, pens (tradition from my childhood), altoids, favorite candy, GC to local eateries, and nice socks. I have no good ideas for this year, so I'll be following this thread!

@Bluemasonjar: I love that you said orange! I was actually talking about this thread with my mom as we were reminiscing about what was in our stockings growing up. We always had an orange (though she said it was a tangerine), an apple, a banana, some nuts that you need a nutcracker to open, a few pieces of candy and a really small toy. She even used to send me my full stocking to me when I was in college and I was thrilled b/c she included two rolls of quarters for laundry money!
