What does summer camp run in your area? We are already starting to look at options for her first elementary summer break. Registration for some starts in March!
Right now I have 3 that have good reports that run between $165-190/week.
What do you look for in a summer camp?

The zoo does summer sessions that are either $245 or $265 per week, depending on if it is a "special" session or not.

I use a nature center camp. They haven't opened up this year's sessions so I am not sure of the exact price per week, but I think it's in the neighborhood of about $245 per week. It's not a long day either, something like 4 hours, so 20 hours in total for the week.

@looch: Yes, we are limited to only full day camps. And even some of those we have to pay for before/after school care.

Most of the general all day camps are less than $200/week. But the specialty camps (science, etc. ) are around $300. We try to do a mix of both. I don't have one camp here that is fun enough to put my DD in all summer so we just cycle through a bunch and also coordinate with friends.
My first registration for summer camp was submitted in November! I learned the hard way that trying to arrange anything in April is already too late (around here)

The really good nature camp here is $279/week. There is a discount if you go to multiple camps. It's so worth the money and we are definitely considering it for next summer. You do have to sign up in November, though or spots fill up.

The awesome camps are $450 a week 
We do the fun but cheaper option of $250 a week
