Our 5-month old was a pretty decent sleeper - she would go to bed at 9 on her own (no pacifier), fully swaddled in a miracle blanket, and wake up between 4:30 and 6, then go to sleep again with a pacifier (sometimes needing the pacifier every 30 minutes or so). I'd get her up for the day around 7 or so.

Her rolling has gotten very good, so we are swaddle weaning. Now that her arms are free, she pulls out the paci. The only thing that gets her back to sleep now when she wakes in the early morning is holding her arms down so she doesn't pull the paci out, but this isn't sustainable.

Has anyone solved this problem? The first night we let her cry a bit to see if she would self-soothe, and she got very worked up and didn't manage to self-soothe at all. Do we need to do full-on sleep training with a sleep sack and no paci? I'm open to anything that will work!
