Just like the post says, I'm looking for teether suggestions. We had a Sophie with ODD and she loved it, but it's seen better days. Trying to decide if we should go the same route with YDD or try something different. I admit that reading stories about mold being found inside Sophie gives me pause.

We liked the one that looks like rabbit ears from Zoli. DS used that thing a ton too.
There’s also one that looks like a raspberry shaped pacifier which he liked too.But banana brush was hands down fave.

I’d avoid anything with a hole like Sophie as a teether. My friend just cut open her 11 month old’s Sophie and it had mold in it just like you see online. I carefully plugged mine with hot glue in case it had any mold, but myvfirst Kid barely looked at it. I like any silicone tethers and have bought the little banana brush for my 4 month old for Christmas

@periwinklebee: Just make sure it never gets immersed - plugging the hole with hot glue immediately is probably the best way to go.
I think whatever teether you happen to have lying around is the best one! Not something worth spending money on IMO, at least with DD she never really got attached to one.

@periwinklebee: yeah, either return or plug it. I kind of had to squeeze the glue on and push it in with a knife so you can’t peel the glue plug off.

my baby hated the large Sophie but liked the small one that's solid rubber--it retails for $14.99 and there's no way it could get moldy because it's filled. he also liked the Nuby keychain thing you can put in the freezer which is like $5

Another vote for the baby banana brush, although when she was younger than 5 months, it was a little hard for her to hold and bring to he mouth. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I think I'm skipping Sophie this time around and will take a look at the suggestions you gave. Who knows if this LO will even need the teether as much as her sister did!

Banana brush also! I do have Sophie and also this Elephant. I cut up DD1's and mine had no mold in it! So I was fine with giving a new one to DD2. I also have these Nuby ones that can go in the fridge to get cold for those bad teething days and I like those.
