I am having all this cramping that i didn have with my son. it moves around a lot so I really do hope it's my uterus stretching or gas. It moves from my low left side to my low right side to my upper left side and in my mid abdomen region. It's fairly dull but can sometimes be more acute and sharp. I was having spotting when I first got my BFP but it seems to have stopped and my temp is still up. Anyone else experience this? Anyone have completely differing pregnancies? I am 4 weeks today. Agreed that it's normal. I had way more cramping than I expected. It freaked me out but everything was fine.

@MoonMoon: thank you honey! That's how I feel too. But sometimes it's more pinchy, then others its more like nausea but only felt in my stomach not in my throat.

I had a lot this pregnancy early on. I think it is typically worse with the second, especially if you have them closer together.

I had cramping off and on through my whole first trimester. Some would be like period cramps as if AF was about to show and some was sharp localized pulling pains. I still get it mildly once in a while at almost 14 weeks but it has slowed down a lot. Congrats by the way!

I had very strong cramps for weeks and had a very healthy pregnancy. They were just REALLY implanted in there. Try not to worry!

@psw27: Thank you sweets. My cramping is moving all around and sometimes more acute in one area then in another. I sometimes even feel it in my upper calf or back. it's so weird!

I didn't have any spotting, but did have enough side/back pain to go in for an early ultrasound. It was so early that they had a hard time seeing anything, but a week or two later we had another one and could tell that everything was fine. Congrats!

Totally normal. As an aside, I had wake-you-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night severe cramping. Embarrassing to admit, but it ends up it was constipation from the sudden onslaught of carrots I was eating (I was trying to snack healthy). If I remember correctly, weren't you doing a cleanse up until your BFP? It could be the same problem. Or even just your digestive system being a little shocked by ending the cleanse.

I had cramping on and off for the first few weeks - sometimes felt like period cramps, but didn't last too long. Other times it was more like sharp little pinches/twinges on the left and right sides near my hips.

I had cramps til 12 weeks and sometimes they were really sharp for a few seconds and I had to stop hat I was doing. Sounds normal.

@MrsMccarthy: I did have betas done, but not because of that. I actually never even mentioned the cramping to my doctor because I spent hours reading online forums about people who were experiencing cramping too. By the time I had my first appointment, I wasn't that worried about it anymore. I didnt have any spotting except for one teeny brown spot at about 4 weeks. Don't get me wrong, for a long time I was convinced I would miscarry, but week by week, I got less scared. I'm still scared, but I feel much more rational about it. I have had three ultrasounds so far starting at 7 weeks 5 days and they have all looked perfect! I'm sure you have a healthy little poppy seed in there!

That's awesome about your husband being a twin. Is he very close to his sister? I love hearing about boy/girl twins. I really hope my kids get along and are close when they are older!

AHH congrats!! I haven't been checking the POAS boards but I am SO SO SO happy you got your BFP! I know it's been stressful so I can't imagine how elated you must be!
To answer your question, I had pretty bad cramping right when I got my BFP, they were worst than AF! But I never bled and everything was fine!
