So many people mentioned this series in a separate post that I had to look it up in Wikipedia!

Originally published in 1924 by Rand McNally (as The Box-Car Children) and reissued in a shorter revised form in 1942 by Albert Whitman & Company,[3] The Boxcar Children tells the story of four orphaned children, Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny. They create a home for themselves in an abandoned boxcar in the forest. They eventually meet their grandfather, who is a wealthy and kind man (although the children had believed him to be cruel). The children decide to live with the grandfather, who moves the beloved boxcar to his backyard so the children can use it as a playhouse.

The books in the series are almost 100 years old, so I was wondering... is this still a good series to read with kids? I've bought some other series that didn't age well, so was just wondering if the Boxcar Children has stood the test of time!
