All the time, but when it comes time to get rid of them, I get those guilty feelings. So I just end up leaving them, unless they're broken, missing pieces or too babyish.

We decluttered DD's toys and I feel like she gets a lot more enjoyment out of the ones we kept. Having too much stuff was overwhelming for her because she ended up just making a giant mess in her room while she was trying to find what she wanted. I have also told well-meaning grandparents that they cannot buy her multiple birthday and Christmas gifts every year because she has wayyyyyy too much stuff even after the purge.

Maybe you could keep out a few favourites of each kind and put the extras away in storage see if they care? When I sort toys by type then I don't worry much about getting rid of some or storing some because one kid really doesn't need 7 trucks out all at the same time.

Donate! I donated do many of my kids toys and they don't even notice! They love and play with the ones that they have even more now. It has made clean up so much easier! They seem to appreciate them more now too! I have become a minimalist when it comes to toys and the boys really don't miss them!

Rotate. I put stuff away and take old things back out every few weeks. It's like new toys! But lo is 19 months so he doesn't really miss thing yet.
