Haven't seen one of these in a bit. Thought I'd share a few things that I did not know before I had a baby (or even after I had a baby for a while) and that turned out to be life changing:

1) You have to put newborns down for naps. They won't just sleep when they're tired. Swaddle them up, and put them to sleep!

2) Bottles have different flow level nipples, and you can at least think about moving up after a few months (I just moved my 4mo to level 3 Dr. Browns nipples and she is so. much. happier.)

*and maybe the most exciting one*

3) You can use oil to take off bandaids. After LO's 1 mo shots, me trying to get the bandaid off was almost as traumatic as the shot itself. So when her 2 mo shots came I googled and hot damn if there isn't a better way. I used coconut oil at 2mo and EVOO at 4 mo and they worked the same. Just rub the oil all over the top of the bandaid and around the edges, and then use your finger with a little bit of oil at a time to rub oil under the edges of the bandaid and it will start to peel back slowly as the glue dissolves without any pain at all. Takes a bit-- maybe 3-5min per bandaid... but you can do it while LO is playing and they don't even notice and NO TEARS. Best discovery ever.
