Have you seen a RE yet? When did/will you? Had my first consultation with my normal ob/gyn yesterday and we're doing all the testing this cycle - CD3 and CD25 blood work, SA, HSG...
Treatments, if any? Nothing yet
Do you have any children? Nope
Do you have any pets? A pug!

Treatments, if any? currently on 2nd round of Femara (letrozole)

I actually started posting in the IF threads a few weeks after receiving my diagnosis. Prior to that, I was just reading the IF threads as RE had suggested that it could be helpful in better understanding what other couples were facing and normalizing the diagnosis.

@bluestriped bee: I missed this thread! Good idea I do consider myself dealing with IF, but I'll take the support anywhere I can get it

@momazon: I didn't realize you were cycling right now! Good luck!! Did you have your transfer yet? I'll be starting my second fresh cycle once AF shows up next week.

Have you seen a RE yet? When did/will you? First saw the RE almost a year ago (last March)
Treatments, if any? two months of Clomid (unmonitored), 4 failed IUIs, 1 failed IVF, starting my second IVF next cycle (currently on Lupron waiting for AF)
Do you have any children? Just the little furry one
Do you have any pets? See above My 6 year old pug is my surrogate son, haha

@Shutterbug: Thanks for the good luck wishes! We had our transfer on Valentine's Day and I actually got my first-ever BFP this morning! I'll go in for my beta on Wednesday, but for now we're cautiously optimistic! Fingers crossed! How are you faring with the Lupron? It gave me such dull headaches. Ok so far for you?

@momazon: congratulations!! How many did you transfer? So excited to hear your beta results! Lupron is going ok for me so far... I was dreading the headaches because I get migraines, but so far so good (knock on wood)

Have you seen a RE yet? When did/will you? yes, saw an RE after 12 cycles. He confirmed that everything looks normal for DH and I, and we should continue to try a little longer before pursuing any treatment = frustrating and reassuring at the same time

@bluestriped bee: Thanks so much! I'm sorry you had to cancel some of your iui's Are you still pursuing that route?

@ttcgirl: That's what the doctor and DH think too; we did it once so it's possible right? Then they were both shocked when iui #1 didn't work. I'm kind of surprised your doctor didn't want to start anything after a year (but like you said, it's kind of a good thing!) Have you had any testing done?

@KELLI_DELUXE hopefully iui #2 will get the job done!! I have had day 3 testing, HSG, and ultrasound done. DH has had a SA (normal). The RE basically said for most healthy couples it takes within a year, but for some it just takes more time. That can only reassure me for so long tho...

@LINDSAYINNY glad to hear I am not alone! do you have any reason to think there might be a thyroid issue or is that just the next step? just curious, I also dont think I have tested for that yet

I'm totally new here... And I've been warned against "the blogs" since we started TTC, but I've been feeling really alone lately and I'm hoping this will help!

Have you seen a RE yet? When did/will you? Did AMH, HSG and sperm analysis with OBGYN back in Oct2013 and everything was normal.
Treatments, if any? 3rd cycle of Femara. 1st resulted in pregnancy/MC. Took 2 cycles off. 2nd was BFN. Now I'm 2DPO
Do you have any children? No
Do you have any pets? Yes, a golden retriever

I know this whole process is in my hands, but something is holding me back from taking the next steps.

@Allie: Welcome! DH and I are the same ages as you with a similar history. I'm ending cycle #12 in 17 months. So far all tests have come back normal too. I have an appointment with a RE in a couple of weeks (testing was done by my ob/gyn). How did you end up going with Femara?

@ttcgirl: I agree; up to a year is normal but it's seriously such a long year! Hopefully you get your bfp soon or your RE gives you a plan of action!

@LINDSAYINNY we went with Femara because my OB told me there was a lower risk of multiples than clomid. Although I really really really want a baby. If I can help it, I'd like to start with one. I think its part of the reason I'm a little fearful of talking to an RE about IUI. : /

Anyone gaining some weight through this trying process? in 2012 I lost 17lbs. I was about to turn 30 and we were going to start ttc, and I wanted to be at my best! Fast forward 15 months later, I've eaten some of my feelings, to the tune of 20lbs back. Ugh.

@Allie: I would echo @Kelli_Deluxe: in that IUI just helps the sperm bypass all the obstacles in the vagina. The increase in chances of multiples are increased from medicated cycles which may cause more follicles to mature and be released. Femara has less chance of multiples than clomid.

@ttcgirl: Whoo hoo for a *hopefully* medicated cycle.

I'm patiently waiting for AF this coming weekend. Planning in calling my RE and pushing for a medicated timed cycle this month. He wanted to wait until IUI #3 to go on Clomid but after the debacle of missing IUI #2, I'm ready to move forward. Missing the IUI also stressed us out a lot and we both want a break from scheduling craziness

@ttcgirl: I only took Letrazole (Femara) once, but I had zero side effects compared to Clomid, and I ovulated a couple days earlier (day 13 instead of 15, I think). The only downside is I just had one mature follicle instead of the usual 2 I had with Clomid. Good luck!
