@mrsjyw: Thank you!!
I'm not incredibly hopeful, I have a HSG today and we had to abstain, so we will only be getting in a few days of BD before I ovulate.

We're more NTNP than TTC this month, but I'll join anyways:

POAS/AF date: I was told to plan on IUI this Friday or Saturday, so POAS will be on March 7th or 8th
Do you participate in March Madness brackets? If so, who do you cheer for? Basketball is so not on my radar. I'm enjoying the Olympics though!
I am happy to see this thread separate from the main POAS one. While I've loved the community and suspense of the regular POAS threads in the past, I just don't think I have it in me anymore to see so many first timers getting bfps.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Sprite: I feel the same way.
I am so excited for anyone getting a BFP, but so jealous/upset/frustrated at the same time.
I admit to struggling this month seeing some people who pop up mid month, getting a BFP three days later, and then moving on their respective EDD threads.
I will continue participating on there sparingly, but I feel like I can be myself here more.
Also, Olympics

Do you participate in March Madness brackets? If so, who do you cheer for? I used to participate when I worked in an office but not recently.
@littlek: uh oh! We are a DUKE family.... My husband's alma mater. The one year I won the office bracket was the year Duke won it all...like 5 years ago

@Snowdrop: Hugs to us both.
I feel like such a bad person when I have conflicting feelings, because I know their situation isn't about me. But it can be so hard sometimes!

I've been feeling really positive about our chances this upcoming month. But also, what the hell do I know. Good luck to us all!
kiwi / 693 posts
@Crystal: YES to the conflicting feelings. It is so hard to feel down about your own situation, and it's hard not to compare yourself to others. Of course, then I feel guilty for everything too, guilty of being jealous of those that are luckier than we've been, guilty for feeling sad and frustrated when other's have had it even harder or struggled longer. I'm trying hard to be better about these things, and just take it one day at a time and concentrate on my own journey though. Some days it's easier than others though!

Hi y'all. Just throwing an update out here. We are mid BD week and I've used softcups twice now. I really like them! They are a cinch to put in and really eliminate the whole leaky messiness post bd. I didn't realize it prior to trying, but now they def do seem to hold the sperm much closer to cervix than without. Anyway, just encouraging y'all to try it if you're interested. Maybe I'll finally get that bfp this month!

Posted in the other March thread before I saw this one...
AF is due any day now and I'm crampy and breaking out, so I'm sure it's coming. I still haven't tested, so if I haven't started my next cycle by March 1st, I'll test.
Lots of hugs and sticky baby dust to everyone!!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@buttermilk: I'll probably try next cycle.
I feel like I'm just in a holding pattern till AF arrives. Our BD stunk this cycle, we hit 0-3, 0-1 and 0+2. DH was hungover so we missed 0. I'm kinda annoyed at him.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
So I haven't gotten a smiley on my OPK yet but the line looked darker today so I'm thinking in the next day or two. FF has my O day estimated for tomorrow which will be CD 16. Today I had some spotting (TMI) - bright red on toilet paper mixed with some CM. Breakthrough bleeding?
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: I get so mad when that happens. That's still good BD considering this is your eff it cycle

Clomid+HSG+RE Consult *but* DH is out of town the 2 days before O, O day and the day after O. So, if we don't get it done before he leaves, i'm automatically out this cycle.

Cycle: 12
Chart: n/a
POAS/AF date: 3/6 unless AF decides to come early again this month. Not too hopeful this cycle. I was stressed out during O week and then got a UTI the day after a positive OPK so we only got one BD in the window..
Do you participate in March Madness brackets? If so, who do you cheer for? No but my husband's alma mater will probably be in the tournament this year, so I'll be rooting for them.

@CupQuakeWalk: @Boopers: good luck this month!
@sandy: I wonder what the spotting is from? I've never heard of that.
@littlek: hate when that happens too, but it only takes one time!
Ladies I was just looking at our bd schedule for the past 6 cycles and we always bd up to and including day of O (or what I assume is) but we have never BD'd after! Usually we are all sexed out haha. So this cycle we promised each over we'd keep going for a few days. Maybe that's what we are doing wrong! I just got a pos opk today (cd13). I usually assume o the next day. But maybe the timing is actually off a bit. We will see.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@CupQuakeWalk: that's tough It's not like it isn't already stressful enough without having to deal with your husband being gone during your fertile window.
@Boopers: fx for you! We only BD once during my fertile window when I got pregnant with my LO. I got so sick that that's all we could muster...but 2 weeks later I got a BFP. Hope that's the case for you!
@buttermilk: I read someone's BFP announcement a few months ago and they said that's what they did differently. In think it's a good idea! Fx for you!
I've been googling and it looks like sometime there can be ovulation spotting. I don't know if that's what this is or if I'm just having a super wacky short cycle (15 days!). I still have spotting today and it's heavier still no smiley on my OPK and my first month at temping is all kinds of crazy - my chart has no freaking pattern
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: I've heard about ovulation spotting. But I've never had it.

@buttermilk: I think shaking it up is a great idea. Fx that works for you!!

Ugh, all the preggos in my office are finding out gender this week. Exception is the one that thought it would be fun to pass out cupcakes and have people bite in and see if it's girl or boy a few weeks ago. I think I'm crossing the track from optimism to bitter land...
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
15 dpo, according to FF. Still haven't tested. Still no AF. I'm going insane.
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
@sandy: @LindsayInNY: NO! I won't do it! I still think I'm out and if I test and it's negative, it'll be way worse on me than if I just get my period. I told myself I would wait until March 1st, so I'm going to stick to it. That way if it's negative, I don't have to go to work and I can be sad in my bed at home
Also, I'm only on CD 29, so it's still early and FF could be wrong about my ovulation date (though I doubt it because that was the day I felt a lot of cramping and it's the day I should ovulate on clomid).
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: didn't you have a wacked out short cycle a few months ago? I think that's what this is.. But just in case it's ovulation spotting we still plan to BD...fun times and super sexy
