@littlek: Gees. That doesn't even seem like an issue. I'm 31. Oh, age.... why you gotta creep up on us?!?

  2. LindsayInNY

@littlek: DH has his on Saturday morning. It's gotta be awkward for sure! I had to give him a BD window since we can't within 2 days of SA or more than 5 days.

  3. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@LindsayInNY: I feel so bad for him... luckily we just get stuck with needles, ultrasounds, or HSG.. there is no real pressure on us to "perform"

  4. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@littlek: True. I tried to tell him today that I have to show my vag off to god knows how many people? My ob/gyn is female (I've always had female). I have NO clue who's doing my HSG tomorrow... Trying not to panic about that! DH is acting confident but he hasn't had to do that on his own in SO long!

  5. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@LindsayInNY: I'll pre-warn you.. with the HSG (at least mine was this way) the set up can be a little intimidating. The stirrups are way up high and your vag is definitely on display for ALL...

  6. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@littlek: Ummm... I did not know any of this! When you say ALL... How many people should I be expecting?!

  7. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@LindsayInNY: Are you saying he hasn't jerked off in so long?? Opps... now that's getting personal but you started it!

And I always wonder if the obgyn's can tell - when they are inspecting your vag - if you've had sex recently. I feel awkward about that.

And I got a positive OPK today! I'm back in the game!

@LindsayInNY: there were three at mine.

@littlek: THREE people?!? Why in the world.... why can't it just be one nice girl, maybe 5-7 years older than ourselves. That's about the only thing I would be semi-comfortable with.

  12. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@MrsMcD: Oh and one of them was in training, so they kept having her practice taking pictures, so I was literally exposed for awhile. They kept saying "oh, this is a good one, nothing wrong, lets try this angle, okay now this angle." I'm glad I was a guinea pig.

@littlek: I just snorted water out of my nose!!!!!!!!! Are you serious... taking pictures? Were these pictures from inside your body with a little scope? Or pictures of your vag? I'm so sorry you did this. I'm so sorry @LindsayInNY: needs to do this tomorrow!

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@littlek: spotting turned into AF...without a doubt it's full on AF I never got a smiley on my OPK and it started on CD15...I have no idea what a 15 day cycle means. I called my doc and let his nurse know. I'll go in for my CD21 blood draw on Monday and most likely he wants to put me on Clomid

@MrsMcD: it's an x ray machine. Kinda similar to what they do at the dentist but just with your hoo hah.

@sandy: I'm sorry. That reminds me of my 17 day cycle. :(. Hugs

So bc I had this weird 15 day cycle it throws off the rest of my calendar. Assuming I have a normal 26-27 day cycle like I was having before, my fertile window is when my husband is heading out of town for work...great

  20. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@MrsMcD: According to him, he hasn't in years. I don't doubt it either... I think they can tell if you've had sex recently. My doctor could tell when I was spotting once?

@LittleK: Three?! Why are so many necessary? Ugh. I should probably get use to the idea that a male might be present... Do I have a paper sheet thing over me at least? I should bring a pad, right? (Ick)

  21. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@sandy: That's odd. Glad you can go in on Monday though!

@littlek: Xray machine sounds better than what I was thinking. Thankfully its over for you. Gees... What an ordeal.

And thanks @Kimberlybee: @sandy: and @littlek: for the well wishes on this cycle of mine. I BDed yesterday and the day before, and I will tonight and try for at least Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Whew... I'm tired already.

@MrsMcD: Woah! That's a BD storm if I ever heard of one!!

  24. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@LindsayInNY: Well I really don't know what else to do. At the end of the day, BDing is what's going to do the trick. I just need it done at the right time. (Or I need some form of serious medical intervention that i will find out about in May, but I'm not going to borrow trouble at this point...)

  25. sandy

@littlek: did your doc have any insight into your 17 day cycle?

  26. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@sandy: No, he just said it can happen. My next cycle was normal thought and has been since. it really stinks for ttc purposes.

  27. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@LindsayInNY: maybe take a shot of tequila before your appointment so you're relaxed

    @MrsMcD: overachiever fx for you!

  28. LindsayInNY

@sandy: My doctor prescribed me Valium - never taken it before but I'm hoping it helps?

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@sandy: You are funny! And gees... So sorry about your 15 day cycle. But I can think of one HB girl that this happened to (I think) and she got a BFP her next cycle. So please don't be too discouraged.

  30. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@LindsayInNY: I think that's the good stuff! I think that's what I got before my Lasik surgery and I was all kinds of relaxed but not too loopy

  31. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@sandy: Hopefully that's all that happens! It's walking distance from home so I'll just walk home after. I took the afternoon as a sick day, just in case, so I'll play it by ear.

    @sandy: I'm so sorry,

@mrs. tictactoe: so so sorry, lady.

@ShayNanigans: Congrats!!! That is so exciting! Good luck tomorrow!

@littlek: re: calendar: I burst out laughing, that's hilarious.

I hate it when I would have to go to gyn appts and they would have student interns do the exam. No thanks. I can't imagine them putting in an intern for something like that. At least you know the student will never forget you?

@MrsMcD: Good luck with all the BD-ing. Make sure you drink a gatorade or something, keep your electrolytes up, lol.

@LindsayInNY: They prescribed valium for you to take before they inspect you? At least you know you will be relaxed.

Trying to make my way over here without thinking too heavily about things.
I'm on CD2 of cycle #6/7 and so bummed. I've been taking B6 for the past 2 months and started taking Vitex right after O of this past cycle. It does seem to have lengthened my LP (to a whopping 6 days) but still not enough obviously. Getting to 6DPO was pretty exciting, and I started to have slight spotting, but usually I go from slight spotting to full blown AF - and this spotting lasted all day and was very light. Of course I got SO excited it might just be IB...but no such luck.

I counted this evening....the mom's group I'm part of has 7 women pregnant with their second. I also know 1 pregnant with her 1st, 1 pregnant with her 2nd, and 1 pregnant with her 3rd from my highschool. I know it doesn't help anything to compare and look at the numbers, but today I just couldn't help it. Hopefully I'll be stronger and more positive tomorrow!

@Keppa: I'm sorry TTC is rough. A bee commented in another thread about how she doesn't let TTC get her down because she knows everyones journey is different and you can't compare yourself to other people. When I get down on myself, I try and think about that.

@Crystal: Yeah, my doctor automatically prescribed me 1 Valium, Ibuprofen and an antibiotic. I've never taken it before so I'm a bit iffy about how I'll be... I guess I'll know soon enough?

@littlek: OK, that is hilarious that you sent invites for BD'ing. Sounds like something I would do! But that sounds so annoying that they don't call or email you the SA results. I'd want to know for my personal IF file, and to reassure DH!

@ShayNanigans: Thinking of you and sending you so much good luck for today's transfer!!!!!!!!

@mrs. tictactoe: I'm so sorry. HUGS!

@LindsayInNY: good luck to you today and to your hubby tomorrow! For my HSG only the doctor could see anything because the stirrup side of the table was facing the wall. The nurse was at my head end, near the ultrasound display. Oh, and uh...I'm willing to bet your DH will have no trouble "on his own"

@MrsMcD: hooray +OPK!! Also, I'm pretty sure docs can tell when you've had sex...the PA who did my IUI commented on my "nice amount of EWCM". Uh, thanks?

@sandy: I'm sorry Short cycles are so annoying, hope your dr. has some answers!

@Keppa: I'm sorry you're joining this 6+ month group, but hopefully your stay here is short! I found cycles 6-8 were the hardest on my mental well being because everyone I'd started TTC with got pregnant by then and left me behind. Hang in there!

Update: DH has accepted all the invites.. phew... way to keep a girl hanging.

Still no call about SA... the crazy side of me wants to call but the superstitious side is like "don't jinx it stupid"... so it's a battle of wills right now

@LindsayInNY: Hope you are having fun with the Vallium. I used to take it before going to the dentist. (I'm a scaredy cat.) I took it for a root canal... Amazing.

@Keppa: I'm sorry you have been struggling. I hope you find good support on this thread!!

@littlek: I'm crazy and would call... And that's so awesome about your DH accepting the invites. He sounds kind of funny!

@MrsMcD: did your root canal hurt? I had one two years ago and I was telling my dentist, it didn't bother me at all. I think I have a high tolerance for pain. My tattoo didn't hurt, labor didn't hurt. My concussion HURT though...

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@littlek: The root canal did not hurt, surprisingly. But I get the heebie-jeebies during all things dentist related. I even had to have a subsequent apicoectomy and that didn't even hurt. But the Valium was absolutely needed for both. You are amazing to have such a good pain tolerance. I think its a good trait to have!
