So, I just found out that my son's 2 year old class at daycare occasionally watches TV ("educational" of course - eyeroll). I spoke to the teacher about it and I am concerned.

I am not sure if I am being overdramatic and it's not that big of a deal, or if I need to make a stink about it.

They didn't tell us AT ALL that they ever watch any screen time. My son has been having trouble adjusting to the 2yo room, so my husband has been dropping in to watch through the two-way mirror and check on him. Today they were watching a "wheels on the bus" video.

I talked to the teacher on the phone at naptime about it. She said they occasionally watch an educational video about something they are working on/focusing on (right now, school buses). She gave me this whole speech how the video today was from an online virtual learning curriculum, it showed toddlers learning about different parts of a school bus, blah blah - my question was do they watch every day? She said "no, not unless it's educational." SOOO - what does that mean? I said when else do they watch? She said the Spanish teacher (comes 1x/week) sometimes does a video "with creative movement." And then she said "you know it's just so hot outside right now, sometimes we will watch something for 10 or 15 minutes so we can set up lunch or get the cots out for nap..."

So it's sounding like to me they probably watch it a lot more than I think they do or the teacher wanted to tell me. The more I think about it, the more upset it's making me, but maybe I am overreacting.
