I finally came up with a gender neutral nursery idea that I love. My title ruined the surprise -ugly dolls. My next baby will be team green, and in order to be excited about it I had to be excited about the nursery.
If your going gender neutral, what theme are you going with? Any ideas for an ugly doll nursery? No we're not ttc yet but I love planning!

We were Team Green and used a bee/pond friends theme. Basically Carter's Bumble.

I'd love to see pictures of these ugly dolls. Are they a brand or are they just old, scary dolls?
We're going with a owl theme. Well, bird theme. I bought a bird tapestry (it's more like a curtain you hang on a wall) and I'm thinking about painting some of the birds in it, to add some color - it's black and white.
I collected some large driftwood pieces that I want to hang some felt owls on and have it suspended in there as well. The walls are baby blue and I'll have green accents (grass/carpet).
And the furniture will be simple and white (not sure about the accessories though).
But that's all I've got so far. And aside from the half painted wall (they need a 2nd coat), and the tapestry - that's about it. Everything else is still in the works. I have an inspiration picture of the driftwood-owl mobile somewhere. I'll post it up when I find it.

@crumbs: lol, they're a brand. I'm not going to scar my LO for life by surrending them with scary dolls. You're ideas sound awesome, the drift wood with be beautiful!

Oh my gosh, thank you for clarifying what an Ugly Doll was! I was picturing that creepy doll from True Blood season 4 and was totally freaked out that someone would decorate a nursery like that!

@Mrs. Bee: Soooo cute, thanks! I have a picture on my LO surrounded by her pigs in her pig/flower themed nursery. I'd love to get the same thing with baby #2 and his or her ugly dolls!

@Mrs. Bee: Thanks! They're pretty expensive so that will be good to do. I don't sew... but I'm sure my mom would love to help with the nursery when I get preggo again.

We will be team grean. I think I want to go with a lamb theme. Pottery barn has some beautiful lamb themed bedding that is cream and brown. And then I would probably do pops of light green for color. I want to put a chair rail in the nursery and do brown on the bottom and cream on top.

Kind of like monsters! When I first heard ugly dolls, I was thinking something WAY different. Like Chucky type ugly dolls! This is so much cuter!
