So, we aren't pregnant with #2 yet but that's the plan... Meanwhile, we have a bedless spare room (we gave our old queen bed to my little brother because it was too big for the room) that I'd like to continue to use as a guest room until it's time for the nursery. I'm considering purchasing either a pullout sofa or daybed (like the Ikea hemnes daybed) that could convert into a queen when needed for guests, or could simply be a small twin sleeping option in a nursery.
That said, we never had a bed in the nursery of our first son. Just a wooden rocking chair that wasn't super comfortable. So I'm not sure if I'd prefer a day bed or couch or a comfortable rocker/recliner for baby #2.
Anyone have a couch or daybed in their nursery? Pros/Cons? Was it good for breastfeeding? Help with the transition to a toddler bed later on?
