At 39 weeks, I've finally put the finishing touches on the nursery! I've always had an affinity for birds, so I wanted a sweet, but not overly girly room for our LO. And no pink!! Lol.

The color scheme came from the fabric on the crib skirt, which I got from http://www.babybedding.com and I found a tutorial on pinterest for a DIY adjustable bed skirt. I measured and cut out the pieces and my wonderful MIL sewed the hems for me, since I'm sewing machine challenged. I have a bunch of purple and white chevron fabric that I was going to make a pillow out of, but I never got around to it, so maybe sometime in the future I'll get that done!

The other DIY projects we did was the mobile (pinterest!) and the empty frame on the wall, and my wonderful hubby spent hours refurbishing the dresser, which we got on Craigslist for $30. We also got the changing table on Craigslist for $30 too! And the rug I found at Target on clearance for $25.

I'm planning on filling the shadowbox above the dresser with items from the hospital like her coming home outfit, bracelet, hat, footprints, etc. I'm also going to add pictures on the wire below of her newborn photo shoot.

Anyway, without further ado, here are some pics!
