@yellowbeach: Ugh, I'm so sorry you are still having to deal with this. I hope the D&C goes smoothly and finally brings the needed physical recovery

@yellowbeach: I'm so sorry. I hope everything goes well and this saga can finally come to a close.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry you're going through this... I know how hard it is to fight to not have to go through a procedure like this and then need to do it anyways. Sending positive thoughts for Friday.

@yellowbeach: Everything about this is so unfair. I'm really hoping you get there on Friday, they give you a sono and all they see is a nice clean stripe. Failing that, quick easy D&C and finally moving on from there.

@lilyofthewest: My fear - is there a scenario where this D&C doesn't do the trick and I still have retained stuff? That would be my nightmare scenario.

@yellowbeach: Is it possible, sure. Is it likely? Hell no! The D&C to fix this is about as close to 100% as medicine gets. The end of the tunnel IS Friday.

@yellowbeach: When I had my retained placenta, the RE wanted to do a D&C procedure guided with a camera rather than a more traditional D&C (that was what was discussed before the retained product dislodged on its own over the course of 6-7 months). Any chance your doctor has that sort of capability? Or could they do an ultrasound before you come out of anesthesia to confirm that it was complete? (As you might guess, I'm a non-medical person so I don't know the names of procedures, etc.).

Ok so just because my body likes rollercoasters 🎢...

I started bleeding the day before yesterday, which based on the last time I started bleeding seems to be AF. (19th of July and aug). And now this morning, I’m passing tissue! God wouldn’t it be amazing if the US Thursday shows it’s all gone and I could avoid the D&C. Fingers crossed!!!!

Still with what I would consider heavy flow for me. 🤞 Trying not to get to hopeful. This is going to be a long 24 hours until my US tomorrow!

Ok ladies - I can't even believe what I am about to type. Just got back from my US, and the retained products are next to gone - all that's left is just a little bit of lining of my uterus, but since I'm having AF, that will be gone too when this cycle finishes (probably tomorrow). So...

    We cancelled the D&C!

    And...

    wait for it...

We get to do a frozen embryo transfer THIS CYCLE! I go in for an US to see if I am ovulating on Aug 31, and depending on what we see on that, combined with what my at home OPKs say, will likely do the transfer around Sept 3-5!

I'm in shock - in a good way

Quick - someone start the Sept POAS board and list me as POAS 9/10!

Thanks ladies - I still can't believe what a shift this was. I started packing for Vegas tonight and set aside my OPKs at the orders of my RE - I'm going to be POAS!

Now here's one potential wrinkle... I'm out of town again Sept 10-12 for a conference in Colorado. Glow says I should be ok, but FF has me OVing on Sept 9. I really really really hope I don't O late. That would foul all of this up for sure.
