you need to make it multi-select... for us we tried for a boy, got a boy; tried for a girl, got a girl!

We BD O-2 and O, and we had a girl. But we weren't specifically trying for one over another. I don't put any stock in the Chinese gender chart.

We didn't "try" for either, but based on our BDing, the Shettles method was correct. We BD'd both times on and right around O date and got a boy both times.

We weren't trying for one gender over the other. However, according to Shettles (DTD at O-4 and O-6) and the Chinese gender chart, we were supposed to have a girl. We had a boy.

Ours was O-2 and O, so I guess it could have gone either way, but we got a boy. For my first pregnancy (m/c), it was O-3, O-1, and O, and it was a girl. So who knows.

Didn't use Shettles but in retrospect our BD pattern would favor boy, which we got! And Chinese thing said he'd be a girl.

Well we did Shettles this month b/c of Dh's travel; it predicts we're having a boy. We'll see!

Didn't try specifically for a girl but according to shettles method we would have had to have a girl considering it was 7 days before O. But no we had a boy. I thought that theory has since been proven wrong and now they say it's the uterus 's pH that determines which sperm is more likely to live in those conditions.

@candymum: I think Shelties is debunked simply because of B/G twins since they are probably conceived at the same time so if timing favors one sex then they shouldnt be B/G twins but I guess its been such a popular method its still sticks around. According to Shelties both my kids are correct even if it doesnt mean anything

@Mrs. Chocolate: yeah that makes sense. I read somewhere that it's not that boy sperm is fast and girl sperm is slow. It's actually that girl sperm travels in a zigzag and boy sperm straight. So depending on the conditions of the medium I.e the mucus in your cervix/vagina it can favor one of them more. Also the male may have a slightly higher rate of male or female sperm which also can favor either one. Something interesting I read was that skipping breakfast favors girls as the body thinks it's going into hard times and girls are more resilient ? Anyway I could be saying a loooot of BS here so if anyone reads something wrong rip it to shreds

@candymum: Honestly I have no idea and your info sounds good to me I dont really know anything about this stuff other than that I thought about B/G twins and realized they are probably conceived around the same time so one favoring wouldnt make sense, I have no science or evidence to back me up either

We didn't specifically try for a gender for either of our babies, but based on BD and when I O'd I think it worked correctly both times.
