This is just for fun ... but for those of you with lots of charting knowledge and/or the Shettles Method, I'm curious what my chart would say about the gender of our baby. We're team green, but I love old wives tales, science stuff (like skull shape), and methods like this.
Oh, and if you write a response ... what about you? Do you know when baby was conceived? Do you think the Shettles Method was right (or would have been right)?

This intrigues me! I want to learn more about it. As it is I wouldn't be able to read the chart or guess. @Mrs. Wagon used the shettles method to have a DD and it worked for her!

I have no idea but I may read up on it before #2-- Dh really wants a boy next time.
Fwiw every old wines tale in the book said I was having a boy- we were really surprised when she came out!! (Team green too). Now I can't believe I ever thought she was a boy.

Hmmm I think for Shettles it could go either way. If I remember correctly to avoid a girl you are supposed to abstain for 3-4 days prior to O'ing... since you only avoided 2 there could very well still be "girl" swimmers hanging around. You did get BD'ing time in on O day too though soooo if you didn't have girl swimmers still hanging those boy swimmers had a good chance. lol
We tried shettles for a boy & I really felt boy this past time. We'll have to try again next time & see!

@runsyellowlites: Yep! BD 3-4 days from O for a girl, and as close to O for a boy. We weren't trying for either, and I realize our BDing pretty much set us up for that 50/50 split (well, it's always 50/50, I guess).
I love hearing stories of families who try with Shettles & it goes that way. It's cool.

I think it could go either way based on your BDing, but on my own personal experience I would guess you'll have a boy. We weren't trying to use Shettles, but I was aware of it and would definitely give it a shot next time around! ETA: We had BD several days including my actual O date and we had a boy, thus my theory that BD right at your O date = boy. Who knows really!

We're Team Green and only DTD on O-4 so Shettles would say we're having a girl. I'm really not sure if I believe in it though.

Shettles said we should of had a girl. We have a boy. We werent doing this method on purpose to get a specific gender.just worked out that way as to when I ovulated. I don't really believe.e in it

Chart reading is unfamiliar for me, but this time around, we did the BD two days before I ovulated and we're have a girl. The first time, I'm pretty sure we did the BD the day I ovulated, and we had a boy.

Sherries method is the same theory used to show how boys are more common in an iui than girls. Because of it., we predicted bit and had a boy.

I agree with @runsyellowlites: based on your chart, it could go either way!
My chart was similar and I ended up having a boy, but who knows what will happen with you!

I don't know much about charting, but I had sex on Tuesday and ovulated on Thursday - and I have a girl hopefully that translates to an answer to your chart lol.

I would totally say girl based on the fact that you did it 2 days before you ovulated. Yeah, you did it the day OF, but I figure the "girl sperm" from 2 days before would still be...hangin' out.

Based on everything I've heard, O+12 is considered to be much more reliable than Shettles. But of course there's always exceptions to everything!

I'm horrible at reading charts so I'll give you a 50/50 shot! 
We BD very close to O day if not on O day and are having a girl. I don't put much stock in shettles method. In theory it makes sense but I don't think the theory translates well to reality.

I have no idea what this chart means...! but according to Shettles, I should have had a boy then a girl, and I did! So it "worked" for us

Hmm. I don't know. Shettles for us says boy because we only DTD on O day ( I was gone the whole week before). We're TG, so we'll see how we end up (in 7 weeks! eek!)

I voted boy, but it could go either way. I swore up and down i was having a boy and we DTD the night of O, then the ultra sound tech told us shes a girl!

@Vegmama: wow! So I am guessing that RIGHT as your egg descended, the girl sperm from O-3 entered it, thus closing it up for when you DDT on O night. I think shettles does make sense for that chart because you did Astaire from sex 2 days prior and by the night you did have sex on O day, the egg was probably already penetrated.
