@schubr03: Yep, this was me.with DS had a slow leak no gush, I just had leaks as if I was peeing!!! Anymore?! You should still call or go in...slow leak or not if it is AF, you don't want to wait!

So my water broke suddenly but I think in most cases if it's really your water breaking it will continue to leak. TMI but I was soaking through pants because it just kept going!

L&D can check if it's amniotic fluid if you're unsure, though!

When I thought my water broke, I called the OB and she had to walk around for an hour. If you are sitting it was something about the baby's head putting pressure on your bladder. I had a slow leak but my contractions kicked in so I knew it was go time.

When I had my last baby, I was sitting on the floor, and when I stood up, I heard a small 'pop' and I had maybe... 1/4-1/2cup of fluid come out. I went to the bathroom, peed, and when I stood up, a couple more maybe tablespoons came out. Not a lot. I knew it was my water because I heard it pop, but that's the only reason why I knew. When I went to the hospital, they said my bag was still intact, but it was possible that i heard the pop because a small part at the top broke. I didn't have anymore fluid come out until they broke my water while in labour. So it's possible the same thing happened, that it broke at the top and that's why you aren't having much more come out. Keep an eye on contractions maybe starting soon

@schubr03: what you describe is similar to what I experienced with the birth of my second just a few months ago. I spent about 36 hours walking around with a pad on wondering if I was really peeing myself that much/having that much discharge. But it was really bad in the mornings and then not very leaky in the afternoon or evening. The second day was pretty leaky but I was also having regular contractions.

I found out my water was broken when I checked into the hospital and I'm still not sure when it actually broke. My midwife said it was probably a small tear at the top of the bag of waters.

@schubro3: this is exactly what happened to me. I went about my day (working from home) and every so often, usually when I got up from my chair, a little more would leak out. First leak was 6:30am. I was having contractions by early afternoon. Actual birth was at 6pm the following day.
