I haven't, but my dad did when my parents were on vacation once. They ended up buying him a new one when they came home since they knew they weren't going to be able to find it again.

Sorry you lost yours! What a bummer.

My husband was playing with his in the car and same thing. It dropped and we still can't find it, but know it is in the car somewhere. Luckily for us it was his "back up" that he wears to work and not his expensive one lined with diamonds. We are still hoping to find it.

DH lost his... I am SURE it's in the house somewhere but with we never really flip over everything to look. We got another cheap one and said maybe by 10 year anniversary or something we'd both get new matching bands again.

I can't even take off my rings since DD1 so I will never loose them, lol!

DH ended up being allergic to his ring (it was tungsten and we didn't realize there was nickel in it).

We bought a new one, but I took it back to the priest to have it blessed like the original one was during our wedding Mass.

My mom lost hers at my grandmother's house (out of town) and she bought a replacement she wore for a while, but ended up inheriting her grandmother's band and started wearing that instead.

i lost my engagement ring a few months after DS1 was born (so 4 years ago now). It also was not a big financial loss as we were students when we got engaged but it was very sentimental and i remained hopeful for as long as we lived in that apartment. We moved 2 years ago (so all hope is lost of finding it). We have discussed replacing it but it has not been a priority so it has not happened yet. I think i will replace it for sure within the next few years, even with a slight upgrade. It won't ever really replace the ring he gave me when we got engaged but I did intend on wearing a diamond ring forever and i am sad i don't have one anymore so it will still be nice to have a replacement similar to the old one. We will probably coincide getting it with an anniversary or something.

My husband is on his fifth, in case that makes you feel better. We just buy inexpensive rings for him now

@Corduroy: I lost mine in DH's car one time. He actually had to unbolt his driver's seat and it had fallen way down into a crevice.

DH lost his wedding band and we replaced it with an inexpensive band. He found his original wedding band a year later in a pair of summer shorts we had put away for the season. I vote replace it!

@yoursilverlining: Ha! Hs last two were $20 silicon ones.

I also lost my gold band, but had no idea when or where it happened. I planned to replace it but was pregnant at the time so I decided to wait until my finger size had stopped changing. Didn't get around to it for ages, and one day found my original band in the cloth diaper basket!
