We have no clue at all what to get her. Scooter is our only idea and really I don't think she will be able to do it yet.
I feel like she has everything and she isn't super into anything. She doesn't wear the dress up dresses she has (only the shoes), has Magformers, has Legos, has a kitchen. She also got a ton of games and puzzles for Christmas that she won't play with yet, but I think she will by this summer.

We did scooter and it was great! Grandparents did a sand table and that was also good.

@Smurfette: DD1 got a soccer / hockey set. I asked for a scooter for her from BIL/his GF. It did not take her much to get the hang of it. She is fairly athletic but also clumsy!
She also got a PBK backpack from my brother/SIL, which She uses daily for preschool!

Daniel Tiger electronic trolley. Her birthday was 3 weeks after Christmas. She already had a lot of stuff. That said, she's likely getting a bike when Baby Sister is born in 2 months.

Some things my friends bought their three year olds: play kitchen and play food, easel with paintbrushes and paint, tricycle or balance bike, plasma car, sandbox, train table, dollhouse and Pottery Barn Anywhere chair.

magnatiles, plan toys parking garage, a huge CAT excavator...Melissa & Doug mailbox was a hit! ALso at that age I feel like games are good, like loopin' louie, hungry hungry hippos, sneaky snacky squirrel, etc.

I dont really remember. Honestly we dont usually get them much (or just little things they need anyways) because they are spoiled by friends and family.

Literally nothing this year! Too much stuff already with Christmas and her birthday. She alread has a scooter, balance bike. She got magnatiles, a train set and accessories and magic clips that have all been big hits. But that was Santa and grandparents.

We took him to see Thomas rather than getting a big gift.
I don't think 3 is too young for a scooter if that's what you're thinking. My guy started school just after turning 3 and has loved the scooter there from day 1.

We bought LO a balance bike and some Thomas trains for his 3rd birthday. FIL and SIL went halfsies on a jeep. It was so pricey, and he didn't really get the hang of it. Currently the jeep lives at my in-law's house because it takes up so much space.

We did a Micro mini scooter, and she LOVES it. She doesn't really do other ride one, but she zooms everywhere on that thing and got the hang of it in just a few days,

We got her the step 2 up and down coaster ($100 at buy buy baby + 20% off coupon). She adores it and perfect for indoor fun on cold or rainy days! Adults can ride too

LO is turning 3 on Sunday and we are getting free a Yvolution scooter! She already has a trike and is horrible at it...doesn't pedal and wants to be pushed, but has shown a lot more interest in the scooters she sees at the park so we thought we would give it a try!

What about tickets to Disney on ice or some other show or event she will enjoy? Or classes of some sort? My in laws are taking DD to swim lessons as her 2nd bday gift. I appreciate the fact it wasn't another toy and it's something useful I know she will enjoy. Bonus - I don't have to get in the water lol!
