Child bearing/child birth. Some parts are magical but the birthing part was the worst thing I have ever gone through. And it's not fair that I ruined my body with stretch marks, suffered through 4 months of vomiting/morning sickness, 9 months of sciatica and not being able to walk somedays, gained tons of weight that now has caused weight issues etc- and DH gets nothing. He had the fun part of making the baby and no long-term effects!

Pelvic exams.

How mean women are to other women.

I don't know if I can choose between hair and periods. I am one with horrible periods and I'm hairy. Or perhaps it's the beauty standards we are forced to live up to?

My periods aren't that bad, and while I was on BCP I could even skip having it at a bad time... and honestly I don't mind pelvic exams either (it's not like I have to do one every day... and men have to do prostate exams which sound just as bad).

I have to agree with @sunny, I think the double standards/discrimination is the worst part.

@Mrs. Bee: Yes! The worst part of being a woman is definitely socially. Women are brutal. I love everything else I get to experience being a woman.

Normally I would say either periods or childbirth but today I'm going with weight issues. DH and I have both been working really hard these past few months to lose weight. I've been working out twice as much and definitely making healthier choices but today I found out he's down 30lbs. I'm down 14. No fair

I would say in general it would be the social standards/inequality between women/men.

For me, though, it would be fashion. It's a daily struggle to figure out what to wear, and I never feel comfortable unless I'm wearing a t-shirt and yoga pants.

@TemperanceBrennan: Amen. The only thing I find enticing about being a SAHM some day is the ability to wear yoga pants at all times. (Not saying all SAHMs do that, just saying that I totally would).

Hormones. I can go through 10 emotions in an hour. Most times I cannot explain it!

@MamaMoose: What makes it even worse for me is that my company is a dressy business casual, but the office tenant next store (we share a bathroom area) is an online company and the dress code is non-existent. Men wear ratty t-shirts, gym shorts, and flip flops. Women wear tank tops and sweats. I get SOOOO jealous.

@Mrs. Pen: Lol, and I'm discourged over periods because mine just came back! I'm sorry it's hard. For what it's worth, from what I remember of your pics in your blog posts, you look great!

Discrimination and the disturbingly high rates of men's violence against women.

I was going to say uncontrollable emotions (second now I suppose), but I have to agree with others that violence against women is the worst.
