DS is in Pre-K. This week they are learning about emotions and feelings. They also had their first field trip to the pumpkin patch where they learned how pumpkins grow.

For academics, they are learning letters D, E, and F and numbers 5-8. They are also learning how to write their names and the date. It's so much fun to see how much DS's writing improves each week.

Last week was all about senses, they even learned about the different areas of the tongue and got to do some taste testing!

M is learning about the color red and apples. They've been following some Scholastic Clifford worksheets and today was all about apples.

DS is in the older toddler room where everyone turns two between Sept-December.
They started the year with Brown Bear as the theme, focusing on animals, textures, and counting.
Then, the Jewish holidays came, so they have talked a lot about the holidays: For Rosh Hashanah last week was apples, their colors, what is inside them, different ways to eat them....
For Yom Kippur this week is manners: saying please/thank you, sharing, giving to charity/helping others, stories focus on being kind. But also still a lot of apple stuff, because the kids really loved it.

He is in the 4's class at daycare. So far, they have done a unit on seasons, fire safety and apples. He seems to be improving so much since going to "pre-k" at daycare.
