I was thinking about this today while researching paint colors for my house. I'm personally over how everyone wants gray paint. I do like the look but it seems that's what everyone is doing and I'm tired of it.
I'm also really over halo style engagement rings -- and I even think they're beautiful! It's just that the last few years almost everyone I know who has gotten engaged has one.
So what about you? Any trends that you're personally over? This is just for fun.

@Mae: OMG YES. and even moreso, for men! every time i go jeans shopping with DH, we're struck by how hard it is to find straight leg mens jeans.

@Mrs. Chocolate: You're right about open concept houses. I like the look of ours but hate that cleaning it takes forever since our entire downstairs is just one big room! I miss the practicality of our old house when I could just shove stuff behind closed doors

As far as interior decorating, I am so tired of white trim. I love my wood trim and it's so hard to find inspiration pictures because everything on pinterest has white trim. Not that it isn't pretty, but not every room in every house needs it! Normally paired with gray paint.

@coopsmama: When I got my halo ring I was the only person I knew with one. But now everyone is getting them. Some people are getting them as right hand rings. So it's starting to make mine feel less special
I personally am over the low-rise jeans. I hate having to find a shirt that goes low enough to cover my plumbers crack when I squat down.

High-waisted short shorts that ride up the crack, expose the lower part of the cheeks, and make 90% of women who attempt to wear them look 20 pounds heavier with a pancake butt!
And as far as interior design goes, white kitchens with dark floors... Pretty but overdone.

@kick641: right there with you!! We have dark wood craftsman-style trim at our new house and it's grown on me a lot -- I just wish I could figure out how to decorate and paint around it!! As you noted Pinterest isn't much help.

overly loose tops without a waist. I feel like they are only attractive on women with straight bodies and small boobs and yet they are pretty much the only types of tops in stores.

@Mrs. Chocolate: I'm over Kim Kardashian and the news of her brother Rob saying she's like the psycho lady from 'Gone Girl' then all of sudden there is a flurry of articles about how Rob has mental issues, substance abuse and needs an intervention from both mom and sister.

@Mrs. Chocolate: I hate open concept!! They are loud. And yes, when you have a party, "everyone just ends up in the kitchen anyway." So what?? That doesn't mean you have to change your floor plan! Maybe people end up in the kitchen because they don't want to be in the big room. Or it's because that's where the food is.
Also, why is it a "concept?" I think it is just open!

I'm over:
- Baby girls with those big elastic flower headbands
- Chevron everything
- Babywearing all over social media (sorry, I think babywearing is great but the whole thirsting over extremely expensive pieces of fabric or showing off insanely complex carries on FB is lost on me).
- To add to the crop top hate, why are shirts all so SHORT lately - even if they aren't crop they are just SHORT

Over sharing on social media. I seriously hope it's a trend. I don't need to know what you ate for every meal or how many times your child pooped in their diaper. And it really bugs me when parents post things about their children that could embarrass them.
