Seems like everyone's walking around with sock buns these days. I'm not sure where I stand with this one. On one hand I think it looks classy and chic, but on the other hand I think it looks like people are walking around with two heads. What's your take??

I don't really get them because I can't do them properly, lol. I do them sometimes when I want to take a bath but they always end up very messy.

I bought that mesh donut looking thing from Claires, is that supposed to do the same thing? I don't even know how to use that one.
ETA-I think it looks cool on girls that do it.

My hair isn't long enough, but it's also fine, so it wouldn't be huge on my head, at least I don't think it would, lol.
I do love them though.

I think they can look nice, but agree...they shouldn't bee too neat or too large. But I think a messy bun can look nice! Granted, I have short curly hair so it's not something I would EVER do, but if you can pull it off, why not?

I wear my head in a bun frequently. They're not huge like sock buns, but I have so much hair that I don't need a "sock" it's literally all.my.hair.

There was like one week where I did the best sock buns, and then I lost my touch. Now I look like a sumo wrestler.
I think it all depends on the execution!

YAY! I do these for work all the time! I got a ton of compliments on it too (a nice change from my very drab looking ponytail I usually do...)

We did them in high school for dance team and I couldn't believe they were coming back in style!
I've done them a couple of times recently, and I like the look! I really want to do different things to my hair each day and not have the same style, so this is an easy addition to my repertoire.

I love it! I've always wished I had big thick hair that can naturally make a huge significant bun like that, but I was not blessed! I bought a sock bun, just waiting to try!

I say yay and do it often especially now with my pp shedding. But my hair is kind of too long... The bun can get huge!

I love em, but I tried to do them before I cut my hair off and it was a major fail. Maybe I just had the wrong kind of socks...

Mine is too big with a sock but just right with the mesh donut thing! I wear my hair in one a lot on days I don't have time to fuss with my hair.

I think some people can pull them off, others can't. I'm in the can't camp.

I like them as long as they aren't on the top of your head. My sister has a TON of hear and I swears she wears it like that Buddha! And it is a good 3-4 inches tall.
I think it all depends on the execution!
