My 4 year old is in a forward facing convertible. This question brought to you by the mom I met this weekend who still has her 5 year old in a convertible - a rear facing one in her husband's car. 
She says the hardest thing about it is getting her daughter out in the carpool line - she has to get out to unbuckle her and she worries she's holding up the line. 
What type of carseat/booster is your child in? Forward or rear facing?

10 month old is in the infant bucket seat.
3 yo is in forward facing convertible.
When the baby outgrows the infant seat in December, we will give her the convertible (nextfit, rear facing again) and get the toddler a combination seat that goes from 5 point harness to booster. Going to start researching that soon!

4 yo is in a FF convertible. We are planning to move her to a FF combination seat in the next few months. 6 mo is in a bucket still, he will get his sisters old seat flipped RF soon.

DS is 4 and in a FF Britax Frontier. DD is 2 and RF in convertible. I would've kept DS RF longer but he outgrew the RF height requirements for the seat we had for him.

DD will be 2 in December - she is in a rear facing convertible. We hope to keep her rear facing to the limits of the seat.
If she remains really tall we will buy her a combination seat when she is forward facing with a higher harness limit.

22 months old, rear facing convertible. Hope to keep this up for as long as possible; but I am open to FF after she turns 2 and once her sister arrives and I can no longer sit in the back with her.

They are both in convertibles. LO1 (3 next month) is FF (he was RF until 2y 10m) and LO2 (14 months) is RF.

4 year old is FF in a convertible and I don't see us transitioning anytime soon. 8 month old in her infant bucket seat. We have her convertibles purchased though and will probably switch out soon since she's getting heavy to lug around.

DD is 21 months and in a RF convertible - Chicco nextfit or Clek Fllo depending on which car she is in. I'm hoping to keep it up as long as possible!

Almost 4yo is in a rear facing peg perego convertible. 5mo is in graco snugride. We'll pass the peg down to the baby when she outgrows the infant seat and get a FF combination seat for the 4yo.

Our 4 year old is in a FF harness high back booster combo seat (Britax Frontier) while our 1 year old is in a rear facing convertible (Britax Marathon 70).

My 14 month old is in a rear facing convertible and hopefully will continue to be for quite a while. She has short legs, so I'm not at all worried about her feeling cramped.

4.5 years old, forward facing five point harness. We just got the grace nautilus for our second car and he loves it.
We wanted convertibles that went to the max forward facing weight limit so we can delay switching to booster as long as possible. He's pretty small- 38 lbs so he's not even heavy enough for one now anyway.
The nautilus converts to a booster so it's perfect.

Newborn - Infant bucket seat
Three-year-old - FF convertible.
Once baby is ready for a convertible, we will hand down H's seat and buy her a harness-to-booster seat.

Just turned 3 and still rear facing (Clek Fllo). She is 7 inches below the height limit and 20 lbs below the weight limit, so she'll still be rear facing when she goes to kindergarten.

DD is about at shoulder height in her Britax Marathon and Roundabout and is complaining about one thing or another in them.

3y3m and my 22 month are both rear facing convertible. I'd like to keep them rear facing until they reach the weight limit of 45lbs. ( my 3 y/o is only 30lbs now) but we will see what happens with the set up when the new baby comes in March!

@Rescuemom10: I love it. It does take a bit of time to break in the straps so that it's easier to tighten them, but overall, the ease of installing is amazing to me. I love the clicktight technology. LO also loves his seat and thinks it's the coolest thing ever to have a cup holder for his drink.
We were looking at the Frontier and the Pinnacle (their highest model), and the only real difference was the extra layer of padding at the head. For the price, the Frontier is the best value.

20 month old is in a rear facing convertible (clek floo). 5 week old is in a bucket seat (UPPAbaby Mesa). I hope to keep the little one in the Mesa for as long as possible. I have a combi corcoro that lo1 out grew rear facing really quickly (he's really tall). Hoping lo2 stays small just so we can get more use out of our seats before buying new ones....

I switched LO at 5 years to a forward facing high back booster in my car. In DH's car, she is still in a forward facing convertible. She's almost six but tiny.

3 year old is in a combo seat using the 5 point harness.
We have an infant bucket seat for baby #2 (when she makes her appearance)- probably should have gone for a convertible that would last longer but it's so easy to snap it in and out without worrying about waking them up!

My four and a half year old is in a high back booster (forward facing). She is in the 93rd percentile for height and weight (if that makes a difference to anyone else.)

DD is in a Cybex Gold Solution M, a FF high-back booster. For my mom's car she'll be in a Recaro Performance, also a FF high-back booster. I really wanted her to continue rear-facing, but at the time, there weren't any rear-facing seats approved for her weight.

14 month old still in a bucket... but not for long. She just had a growth spurt and she is at ~29 inches now. Time to switch to convertible!

DD is 38 months and in a RF Britax Marathon. We never thought she'd be RF this long but she's quite content. Now that she can climb in by herself it's quite easy. We have to install the bucket seat this week since I'm due on Sunday so we might take the opportunity to move her FF.

@delight: we turned my older daughter's seat around while I was in the hospital after I had baby sister. Dh couldn't drive comfortably with the rf seat behind the drivers seat so we just waited until the very last minute.

My 18 month old is in a rear-facing Clek Foonf and I LOVE it. The rebound bar gives them so much space, and it sits up high so she definitely can see what's going on outside.
For what it's worth, I totally support a longer wait at the carpool line for car seat safety!

@Alivoo01: I have the batman one.... Definitely not what I would have chosen to be honest- it's heavy and difficult to install but that's what you get when DH and DD go pick it out
