I drove from New Hampshire to Montana in 2006, then back in 2009. We took a roundabout way going out, going though the Badlands, Wyoming, and up through to northwest MT. On the way back, we did a straight shot back so it was quite a bit shorter but still took 3 days. I wouldn't be opposed to making the drive again someday, but probably not until our kids are much older.

Not too long -we drove from Seattle to San Francisco with a stop in Oregon over two days.

Ontario to South Carolina... I think we drove it 3 times with my ILs. It was pretty fun! Now we fly to avoid using less vacation time -- wasn't an issue when we used to go in the summers during highschool!

Wow, you guys travel far! I think the farthest we've driven was no more than 10 hours. My family had driven from NY to Toronto.

When I was 13 we camped from MD to CA and back, taking 3 weeks. My brothers and I complained a lot but honestly it was great to see that much of the US.

When I was 7 my family drove from Toronto to Nova Scotia. And then in 2009, my fiance and I drove from Toronto to PEI. 17 hours, I think?

we drove from la to san francisco every year, but that's a relatively easy trip. i guess my longest trip was when we moved from minnesota to los angeles. but our longest driving trip was from los angeles to seattle.

We used to drive from Florida to New Jersey in the summer to visit my nana when I was young. So 15 ish hrs. Though now that I think about it, I think it takes longer to get into the mountains in WV and we've driven there a bunch, too.

We did MD to TN and back every summer to see my grandparents and when we were older we did MD to CO and back every summer. I have also done TX to MA.

I loved the road trip memories but my parents must have been insane -- 2 kids + 2 huge dogs in small-ish SUVs....

When I was 3, my parents and I drove from Central PA to Spokane, WA, stopping at various national parks along the way. We were in an old VW bus. They packed a little training potty for me. And the bus had no heat, so they drove us with a propane heater! I believe the trip out, back, and visit with family in Spokane took a total of 3 weeks or so.

26 hours - Austin to NYC when I moved. Also have done the trip from Houston to mid-Michigan (about 24 hours) more often than I care to count. In my early twenties I'd hit the road in my Mustang and just loved it.

18 hours from PA to TX. This was split into a 2 day trip. Also on the return trip.

I have also driven from PA to FL and back multiple times (16 hours). I've done this as a trip split into 2 days, and also straight through (which I wouldn't recommend, ugh).

We don't have kids, yet, but two Christmas' ago, we went on a roadtrip from Seattle and went through OR, CA, AZ, NV, UT and ID. It was just me, the DH and our dog. It was a fun roadtrip. We made lots of stops (Disney, Vegas, Grand Canyon). We were in Vegas for NYE. It took 11 days and put on 5100 miles.

My parents used to take us on a road trip from Montreal to P.E.I. once a year. I think it was like 15 hours? However, we'd stop and camp along the way.

DH's family used to drive from Toronto to Florida in one non-stop trip, which was like 20 hours.

When I was about 10 (and my brother 8), my dad bought a pickup truck and we drove from KY to WA….the 4 of us in the cab of a pickup truck. My poor parents, I don’t how they didn’t go crazy!

I’ve also driven by myself from ME to FL (and back again), but that wasn’t really a roadtrip.

20 hours straight (no stops to sleep). Once when I was 10 and once when I was 19. Never again. Luckily DH shares my belief. We are airplane people for anything over 10 hours.

16 hours on a charter bus for a school trip. The furthest we ever went as a family was about 7 hours. We rarely drove far because my dad got carsick.
