I've seen a stage called "preschooler", and "school-age".

Pre-schooler? I thought the age groupings were:

0-1 infant
1-3 toddler
3-5 preschooler
5-9 school-aged
9-12 pre-teen/tween
12+ teenager

I agree that preschooler sounds more like it relates to schooling rather than age. I suppose you could clear that up by naming it Pre-k age ??

Everything I have taught (crossfit, gymnastics, dance) calls it preschool level for the 3-5 age group.

Maybe early childhood is best so people don't think that it is about schooling? You can also put ages in brackets so that people will know for sure.

I'm excited for a new board since DD is going to be 3 before I know it!

What about just "Little Kids" and then "Big Kids"

@HabesBabe: oh yes I teach the crossfit preschool classes where I live. It's a lot of fun.

I would think preschooler, but I really like Little Kids Big Kids

I still can't get over the fact that my daughter is considered a toddler when in my eyes she's still a baby!

Cause these days there is
0-1 infant
1-3 toddler
3-5 preschool
6-8 little kid (I don't know)
9-12 tween
13 - 18 teen

But little and big are great descriptions!
