Our LO is almost 4 months old so it's too early to tell. The love languages have been really helpful in our marriage so I will definitely try to zero in on LO's love language when it's time.

@mrbee: I think it's great you have noticed this about your LOs and can be intentional about it!

Funny, just learned what mine is (and DHs) but even by guessing I'm not sure what DDs would be, still so young though, so try to show her many forms of love until she shows a preference! I grew up in a don't show affection/emotion/share feelings home, and I don't want that for her!

DH is Verbal Affirmation and Physical Touch.

I think I am physical touch and acts of service. LO seems to be quality time I think but we'll see!

I don't know at the moment because she is so young but this thread got me to thinking....

@mrbee: @Beebug: @Mrs. High Heels: (just picked a few people to direct the question to) - is YOUR love language in your relationship with your child(ren) different to your love language in your relationship? Mine is quality time in my relationship but totally physical touch with my LO - if she approaches me for a cuddle I'm so happy!

My son is just like Olive! He loves to snuggle and kiss and cuddle.My good friend is visiting and he just jumps into her lap and hugs her and kisses her. He loves to hold on to people and be close. It's really charming and sweet. I am also like that so it's nice. I would have a hard time not having a snuggly kid cause I am such an Elmira.

@MrsMccarthy: Aaaaaw. I'm so jealous!! My little girl isn't snuggly at all. We met a little 11 month old boy at the soft play a couple of weeks ago and kept running up to me and hugging me (his mum was there btw!) - it was just adorable!!!
