When my 10 week old is not sleeping, she is screaming. I don't know how much longer I can take it.
ETA: My DD2 had it as well and she calmed down around 7 months (but is still rather high strung at 2 years). Hers seemed belly pain related, though, and DD3 just seems like she screams because she's angry.
She cries an average 7-8 hours a day.

At about 14-16 weeks I felt like we really were turning a corner. By 6 months I knew we were really out of the woods and it just kept getting better.
It was gradual - I didn't wake up one day with a different baby. But definitely by the time she was pulling up, thinking about crawling, etc. (7-9 months) she was a lot more content. For example, I could sit outside with her and do work on my laptop while she explored the grass and played with little baby toys for 20 minutes or so. 20 minutes of not needing to be held or comforted months before that, even as a supposedly "sleepy" newborn, was unheard of.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: sorry you're having such a rough time! DS really turned the corner at 4 months and around 6 months it was like someone flipped a switch and he was never fussy unless he needed something.

I'm not sure C actually had colic, but I describe her as colicky. She really started turning a corner around 3.5 months and kept getting better. It did seem to be tummy related with her, lots of grunting and gas and whatnot, so maybe that's when her digestive system got a little better? She's really mostly gotten easier since then (sleep regressions and teething aside).

DS screamed since birth - like they kicked him out of the nursery at the hospital. 6 hour a night witching hours. Weeks 6-8 were awful, 10-12 was the absolute worst time of my life. He didn't sleep for more than 20 mins at a stretch for 10 days straight. Then it went to 1 hour stretches of sleep a few times a day. The rest of the time he was screaming. He didn't smile for months.
After 3.5 months he very gradually got better as others said - I think sleep training and not being constantly exhausted helped him as did new reflux medications. By 6 months he was a tolerable human being.
Fwiw my doctor said most colic peaks at about 12 weeks.

The constant crying started to ease off around 3 months, but he still cried a lot and went insane during feeding attempts until he had his tt released just before 6 months - then he was like a different baby.

Not colic necessarily but could cry quite a bit.. Dd got easier at around three-four months. I always thought that was the general timeline for if its "just" (ugh and I hate saying just because it sucks) colic.
