I keep hearing that reading to your kids is one of the biggest determinants of their reading success later in life. That logic has definitely worked on us, and we've been making a big effort to read to our kids every night.

It got me thinking though: when do parents stop reading to their kids? My parents didn't really read to me so I don't have any experience to draw on here. Maybe once kids can read by themselves, they just get the reading time in on their own rather than with their parents. I'm not really sure!

When do parents usually stop reading to their kids?
