I was in high school, and it was for my sister's wedding. I have never gone to get a manicure for myself though.

I think it was for my Jr prom. I rarely get manicures - I can probably count the number on one hand. I always do my own nails.

Maybe 4 or 5? My mom would let my sister and I get our nails done when we went to take our pictures with Santa.

ETA: @THEREELDEAL: my 6th or 7th birthday was a makeover birthday at my mom's salon, so we all got our hair, makeup, and nails done and put on dress up pictures to take glamour "after" shots.

I think I was about nine years old. We were visiting my grandmother and she knew a manicurist who would do a child's manicure for $5, so we went. I had so much fun I wrote about it for a school assignment. After that, not until high school, when we would get mani/pedis before the major high school dances, so like twice a year.

I think, as far as letting my LO go....I will wait till she's old enough to sit quietly without entertainment--closer to 10 or older.

I recently got a pedicure and right next to me was a 6ish year old girl who was (literally) screaming off and on the whole time because things "tickled" or "hurt". It was not my favorite experience.

I don't remember... but I know I got one for my cousin's wedding when I was around 11 (manicure and pedicure!). I don't think it was my first though. I may have been 9.

I think as long as she's old enough to understand it's wet for awhile after getting them done, then it's fine!

Not until age 30!
