I think it might depend. If it's a simple visit to a dr where you can use your insurance I'd think you'd pay just like you would at home. I got sick on a business trip to the UK and my employer offered to send me to a doctor but I opted to wait until I got back to the US. In that case I think it would be appropriate for them to cover costs but I was ok to get through the last couple days.

Oh yeah, i was definitely thinking like you get food poisoning on a trip or slice your arm open.....stuff like that, my company 100% covers. Or one guy who had a heart attack!

Usually your companys travel insurance would cover what your insurance doesn't cover.

I kind of expected they would pay. I ended not going to urgent care, took some ibuprofen and a nap and am starting to feel human again. -
My company paid for my Dr visits.
