Like china, vases, decorative items, etc? We had left pretty much all our nice wedding gifts with family since I didn't want to figure out how to keep them safe with two toddlers at home but we need to clear out everything pretty urgently. I'm wondering if we should get some type of storage furniture or something else...

In our china closet! We have a hutch in our dining room that we display our china on. We also keep our vases in the bottom portion. LO can't easily open the doors on the hutch, so it's a good place for them.

In that cupboard above the refrigerator - I need a chair to climb onto the counter, then have to stand on the counter to reach them!

China Cabinet or the REALLY high cabinets in the kitchen

@raspberries: Oh that's a good idea! I can't reach ours either. I don't think there's anything in there although maybe DH put something there.
@looch: @littlebug: Like out in the open? I'm imagining open shelving, on coffee tables, that kind of thing?

@Baby Boy Mom: Yep! I have a 4 year old and I have stuff on shelves, on tables, etc. I also have some zones that are kid friendly, like his room, the playroom, kitchen, etc.

Don't have any, for the most part. If I did, they'd be high, high up.

@Baby Boy Mom: Yup. Same as @looch: He's 2.5 and we have stuff everywhere. For example, we have a glass and metal wine rack with wine bottles, martini glasses, wine glasses, and 2 big glass decanters on it. It sits on the floor in our dining room. We've just taught him from the second he became mobile that it was off limits. Every now and then he goes over and taps the wine glasses so they "ding," but for the most part he treats it like it's just part of the wall.

all other breakables are in the top of the pantry.

Most really good china is in the basement. Some china and all serving dishes and vases etc are in the kitchen, just in low cabinets. Luckily LO isnt a "breaker"!

@littlebug: Oh man, that sounds like a recipe for disaster with my two! They have a tendency to "experiment".
