Cutting up mangoes brings out my ugly side. That odd shaped seed in the middle just kills me!! I hate cutting up mangoes!

@sslm: @MamaJ: Pineapples I don't mind as much as mangoes, even though I hate cutting up pineapples too. Mangoes are so dang slippery and they always go flying all over the place. AUGH!! Just thinking about it frustrates me!

@banana: you need a mango splitter - http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Good-Grips-Mango-Splitter/dp/B000AREB5S
We eat mangos a lot and this makes cutting them a lot easier.

Ditto. It's my favorite fruit, but I'm soo lazy to cut it up.
@Bluebonnet: Never knew such a thing existed!

Tomatoes (they're a fruit, right??) HHAATEEEE.
If they don't count, then watermelon!

@Bluebonnet: Never knew this existed! I think we'd eat mangoes more often if I had something like this. I'm going to look for it at my nearest Ross or HomeGoods next time I'm there. Thanks!!
@MrsTiz: Oh yes. Tomatoes. With a dull knife. ugh...

@Bao: SAME! How do you cut up a kiwi? I can't peel off the skin without wasting 25% of the flesh!

I hate peeling and cutting up plums for the kids. They hate the peel. And it's impossible to get the pit out. I give up.

I am pretty good with a knife, so I don't mind cutting up fruit in general, but I do hate cutting grapes.
I don't like the cherry pitter as much as I thought I would, though.

@Bao: Ok I had to look it up. I feel lame now. You can cut the kiwi in half, and then use a spoon or scoop it out by running the spoon around the outside (between the flesh and skin). I've been doing it wrong for years!

@Mrs. High Heels: @banana: I bought it on a wim, and wasn't sure how well it would work (or if it was a gimacy kitchen gadget). Its AWESOME and well worth the $ I paid for it. If you eat mangos frequently, its a great investment.

Bananas...the smell, look, texture is repulsive to me(for reals!) and I want to vomit when I cut them up/peel them for DS.

Cherries are the worst for me! I probably should just bite the bullet and invest in a cherry pitter

Pineapple! Which is why I buy it canned. I don't have the a patience to cut those eyes out.

@chopsuey: I always assumed it was a gimmick kitchen tool but L loves cherries and cutting them is really annoying. Looks like I have my next shopping trip planned

@rsp213: it's pretty crazy how it works! My dh was skeptical at first, but was amazed when he saw it in action! Lol. My dd loves cherries too so I bit the bullet and got one. I got an oxo and love it!

The acidity of mangoes kills my hands, so they're my least favorite. I craved watermelon for my entire third trimester, I got pretty efficient at cutting it up!

Cherries (for DD) and watermelon. With watermelon, I'm always terrified that I'll chop off my hand/fingers or something.

i've seen many people spear the mango and use a veggie peeler to take the skin off.

@MrsTiz: ditto.
Literally will avoid meals with tomatoes because I HATE dicing tomatoes.
And next is watermelon. Seriously, I'll pay the extra 2.50 and buy the pre-chopped watermelon.

watermelon. it's messy and huge. OMG i got a watermelon WITH seeds by accident recently, that thing was a PITA! i had to pick seeds out of every little cube. i wanted to throw it away and go buy one without seeds.

Most of them! I used to make lots of fruit salad back in my days that I had energy to do so. I tend to buy fruit trays a lot nowadays.

@TurtleDoves: I don't even like tomatoes so I "forget" them a lot haha poor DH

@bluestriped bee: I'm so lazy that I don't cut the eyes out. I just chop off enough of the outer layer so that there aren't any eyes left. I waste a lot of pineapple that way but I don't care!

Melons are so big and annoying to cut up, but LO loves them. I don't know how to cut a pineapple properly and let DH do it.

@sarbear I'm with you on bananas and im scared to cut pineapples because I am awful at cutting food and cut myself!
