We're currently using the Sleep Sheep for white noise when our 6 week old son goes to sleep. It shuts off after a while (maybe 30 minutes?) When your LO wakes up in the middle of the night, do you put the white noise back on? I've been very inconsistent...

We use one plugged into the wall and it has 15-60 min timers or we can leave it on all night. It's louder than the sleep sheep, so I like it more

@blackbird: Do you generally leave it on or set timer? I'm thinking that if we should be leaving it on all night, I'll start looking for something other than the sleep sheep.

I set it for 30 min whrn I get into bed, but if she's really up and down, I just leave it on. I leave it plugged in for naps with no timer. If she hears us and is kind of awake, she'll wake right up with our voices. I like having both options because she's not always asleep after 30 min

We use one that we plug in (a marpac dohm) so it runs all night and for all naps.

I have the Gentle Giraffe, and I think it turns off after 45 minutes. I turn it back on if he wakes up.

LO isn't here yet, but I plan to leave it on all night (we are getting a plug in one). We live in the city so there is outside noise, cars, horns, plus we'll be up and moving around in the apartment.
I also leave a fan on in our bedroom all night to help me sleep, so I clearly have no problem with white noise all night long, even for grown ups

We use an adult one that I had before M was born. It plugs into the wall, it's loud and it stays on all night long (or all nap long). I"m always glad that it's still running when a noisy truck is going by or the dog is barking. Couldn't hurt!

I stopped using the Sleep Sheep when LO was about 2-3 months because when it turned off, she woke up. So we bought a Graco sound machine that plays all night and have used it since then.

We use Ellie's all night.

We use the ecotones white noise machine for how whole night. We found that with the sleep sheep, she would wake up when it finished it's cycle. I think it turns off right when she was switching sleep states, so it didn't work for us.

Yes, we got the Aden & Anais slumber star thing. It works great, probably a little pricy but louder white noise than the Graco machine and can stay on all night, unlike the sleep sheep.

My LO goes to sleep with 2 noise machines, lol. The sleep sheep and another one that runs all night.

We have the Graco Sweet Slumber Sound Machine and just plug it into the wall to play sound all night. I really like it a lot. I think one of the Bees suggested it.

We had to ditch the sleep sheep bc H woke up when it turned off...We got the marpac dohm and I really wish we never would have wasted money on the sleep sheep!

DH and I sleep with a white noise machine ourselves and we leave it run all night
